It was less than a 10-minute walk from Senrioka Station. It seemed to be open only on Fridays. It was my father's favorite shop, and while he was in the hospital with no appetite, he said, "Oh, how nostalgic~ You went there for me?! Well, since you went to the trouble," and ate a bite. It turned out to be his last supper. It seemed to be run busily by young people. I'll keep cheering you on. I bought 3 eel onigiri and eel kabayaki. It was fluffy, fragrant, and delicious.
View on GoogleI got 2 kabayaki for takeout (medium 2,200 yen, small 2,100 yen). I wanted 2 and just squeezed in with the last 2. If you want to be sure to get some, I recommend reserving by phone. The taste is good, but maybe it's the difference in preparation (Kanto-style back split vs. Kansai-style belly split)? The texture (satisfaction) just feels thinner compared to eel I've had at other eel specialty shops (both Kansai-style belly split). It's tastier than supermarket eel, but for a specialty shop I'd like them to go one step further — that was my impression. The flyer says they're planning to offer unadon in the future (no details on contents or timing). The location is a pretty tough spot, but I hope it becomes a "Who knew there was a hidden gem here!?" kind of shop. I'll come buy again when I get the chance.
View on GoogleThe taste has definitely gone downhill since the early days. Maybe it was just that day, but it's seriously different. It used to be the best eel, what a shame
View on GoogleThe eel is tender, and the sauce is delicious too! And the value for money is the best👍
View on GoogleThe flesh was very tender and delicious.
