I visited for lunch. The inside of the shop has a nostalgic atmosphere like a traditional diner. It has quite a lot of character. The staff was also friendly and I felt their thoughtfulness. For food, I had horse mackerel in sweet and sour vinegar, simmered sardines, simmered fish roe (sea bream roe), taro simmered with minced meat, miso soup, and rice. Everything was extremely delicious. All the dishes have a gentle seasoning, moderate rather than overpowering, stopping just before being too assertive. You can taste the goodness of the ingredients. What I particularly liked were the simmered sardines and the miso soup. The simmered sardines were fatty, fully bringing out the deliciousness of plump sardines. The miso soup had a deliciousness that enveloped you in its gentleness. While I felt the prices couldn't be called cheap (depending on the side dishes chosen), I felt the taste was a cut above a general diner or set-meal restaurant.

Visited on a holiday afternoon. It was my first time, so my spouse and I decided to go using a map. The exterior looks like a diner in town. After entering, the owner told us to choose and pick out the side dishes. There were about 15 kinds of side dishes served on plates and small bowls. Simmered sardines, simmered butterbur, 4 pieces of shrimp tempura, and a small bowl of sea bream roe. Individual rice and miso soup, and nikusui (beef soup). Everything was sweetish, strongly seasoned, and delicious. There were no prices written on the lined-up side dishes. This is what it looked like, based on a photo of my half-eaten meal. I thought it would be around 2,200 yen, but it was about 3,300 yen. A bit surprising. I wondered if I should have just ordered from the bowl dishes and other items with prices posted on the wall. I felt that at least the prices should be displayed.

I'd really like them to write down the prices, and I think it would be appreciated if they posted explanations like fried rice and rice bowls being for dinner only. The taste is unquestionable. Delicious

First visit since I was passing by around 2 PM. The reviews were good and it said the staff's service was good, so I went in. Food was lined up, self-service style. For rice, you tell the staff the portion you want when ordering. Just like the reviews, the staff's service was polite and wonderful. The master was smiling and the female staff member was also friendly. The food was delicious, and I'd like to come again. Thank you for the meal.

Went around 1 PM on a weekday. There were 2 regular customers ahead of me. It seems lunchtime is a system of picking from displayed side dishes, and the menu on the wall is for nighttime only. I picked my favorite side dishes and ordered rice and pork miso soup. They microwave the side dishes for you. The master is friendly, and it's delicious and cheap. However, being able to smoke inside is a minus point. I had to eat amidst the smoke and smell of the regulars smoking, which I really disliked.
