This is the first time I've had such terrible chicken. About 5 pieces of upper thigh for 1900 yen. Very tough. Hard to even chew through. I borrowed scissors, but the scissors were hard to cut with and the meat was tough, making it the worst. When grilled, the seseri (neck meat) became smaller than my 3-year-old son's pinky finger, and it was tough too. The only single-item menu was kimchi, no salads or anything, so they probably compete on the meat, but the meat is the worst. Is this really chicken? It was so tough my husband and I doubted it. Even though it's yakitori, there were no condiments like salt, only sauce. There was something with red powder at the edge of the table, but there was no explanation, so I don't know what it was. That sauce was also too thick and salty, which was exhausting. My husband ordered a drink, but the rest of us were fine with just water; when they forgot to take my order, weren't they even a little concerned that the others didn't have drinks? They don't give you water unless you ask, and even though we have children, they don't give you children's cutlery unless you ask either. Sharing plates for the grilled food, everything had to be asked for. There were no other customers, so it wasn't like they were busy, making me distrustful of the customer service. The only delicious things were the yam kimchi and tamago kake gohan (though it was totally average...). The bowl for the tamago kake gohan is deep, so they should provide a spoon. It was very difficult to eat. The atmosphere of the shop was good so I had high expectations, but very disappointing. The meat you buy at the supermarket is exceptionally softer and tastier. The hungry kids spat out the meat because they couldn't chew it, and could only eat wieners and rice. I paid close to 10,000 yen, but the kids were so hungry we had to go to a second place... We left early and went to a second place. This is the first time I've had an experience like this. Honestly, I really think they should change their meat supplier. Sorry.

This time I made a reservation at 17:00 via Hot Pepper! Since it opens at 17:00 and there were only 2 groups yet, combined with the calm restaurant atmosphere, we were able to spend our time in a very relaxed mood ✨ Entering its 53rd year this year, currently run by the second-generation owner. They completely renovated and renewed the previous store last year (2024)! Ordering is via QR code scanning (no Wi-Fi) ・Yakitori Assortment 1,200 yen ・Celery Kimchi 500 yen ・Atsuage (Fried Tofu) 450 yen ・Onion 300 yen ・Amera Tomato 600 yen ・Specialty Tamago Kake Gohan 550 yen ⇨ Yakitori is grill-it-yourself style! Thigh, breast, and seseri (neck) are in the assortment. When I asked if we had to grill it thoroughly because it's chicken, they said they use meat good enough that getting the skin crispy is fine! I love crunchy seseri so I'm happy it's in the assortment ✨ The breast is light and tender, and the thigh has a chewy texture while being tender and springy—delicious! It's my first time grilling atsuage on an iron plate, but this is super delicious, packed with tofu deliciousness, fluffy and melty inside ♡ Grills are enjoyed dipped in homemade sesame sauce 😋 The celery kimchi is crunchy, The Amera tomato has tight skin and is sweet like fruit inside 🍅 The tamago kake gohan is said to use specialty dashi soy sauce! Enjoyed it all. Newly reopened and remodeled on 2024/04/06. A place where you can eat delicious bonjiri. The tamago kake gohan is also a flavor you can eat bowls and bowls of. A renowned shop operating for over 50 years. The key point is the slightly spicy homemade sauce that brings out the umami of the hinetori (old chicken). Better than expected, competing on skill and taste. . Ishidaru Yakitori Specialty Store (Ishidaru Yakitori Senmonnten) . 488-2 Hatakitacho, Naka-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture Fukai Station (taxi is about the minimum fare.)
View on Google🅿️ Information written below. A restaurant where you can eat very delicious yakitori? Since you grill unskewered chicken yourself, it's more like a chicken-grilling restaurant. With counter seating and tatami seating, it's a place that can be enjoyed by individuals or groups. First-timers should definitely try the breast and thigh assortment and bonjiri. Clean chicken meat with elasticity that gets more and more delicious the more you chew. The number of items on the menu is not large, but it's a satisfying shop. 🅿️ Shared parking is located further back on the left side facing the shop 💴 Cash only
View on GoogleA shop I frequently visit ✨✨ I've never eaten yakitori more delicious than this!! The meat is totally different from elsewhere! Amidst the increasing trend of grill-it-yourself yakitori, this is in a completely different league of deliciousness!! The sauce is good, and the finishing tamago kake gohan is truly delicious!! You absolutely must eat the upper thigh and bonjiri! Every time I end up eating until my stomach feels like it's going to burst lol A shop that makes you want to go back right away. It's a bit far from the station, but convenient since there is a free parking lot. They renovated the shop last year, making it a very stylish and pleasant atmosphere ♡ There's also a counter so you can go alone.
