I am a regular customer who frequently visits. I went there with my husband on July 27th. After waiting for about 15 minutes after ordering, another pair of customers arrived at the next table. Soon after, two hitsumabushi dishes (different bowls from the eel bowl) that we had ordered were brought to that next table. The person who brought them was a Muslim foreign staff member wearing a scarf around her head, and she seemed inexperienced, so I figured she must have delivered them by mistake. Sure enough, after a while, the people at that table asked a Japanese staff member, "Is this what we ordered?", and the reply was, "My mistake." The man next to us loudly said, "I already ate it!", but the two hitsumabushi dishes were taken away. About ten or so seconds later, two hitsumabushi dishes were brought to our table. That is the truth of what happened. Whether the food provided to us was the one the man next to us said he "already ate," I do not know. I want to believe it wasn't. However, because the timing overlapped so much, the uneasy feeling lingered even after returning home, and I decided to post just the facts.

This is an eel specialty restaurant right near Teradachō Station on the Hankai Tramway. What I had this time is the 'Hana-zukushi'. It is Kansai-style 'jiyaki' eel, where Mikawa eel is split from the belly and grilled without steaming. Since it's eel, it's quite pricey, but it was delicious. I visited without a reservation past 7:30 PM, and we were guided to a seat without waiting. This time I parked in a slightly further parking lot, but it seems they partner with nearby coin-operated parking lots. I think you should bring your parking certificate... (I apologize for not remembering clearly) They also had lunch and takeout options. This is a restaurant I'd like to visit again.

While the food and the restaurant's atmosphere were nice, the customer service felt a bit matter-of-fact. I think it would be a more pleasant experience if they could offer a little more smiling and friendly service.

This is the most famous eel specialty restaurant in Sakai. It is located right in front of you, less than a minute's walk from 'Terajichō Station' on the Hankai Line along Daidōsuji where the Hankai Line runs. You will probably notice it immediately because the aroma of grilling eel drifts in the air. Inside is a 1st-floor shop with about 30 seats. The rolled omelette and hitsumabushi are recommended. It seemed like there were many local customers and few tourists. I got the impression that it's a restaurant loved by the locals. When I went, payment was cash only.
