Me and my husband and my 6 years old daughter really enjoyed this place...we got the combination ticket (old Yamaguchi family residence, old seigakuin mountain priest Dojo, old Gunsmith workshop and residence) and learned a lot about this old village...the volunteers did they best to communicate with us and tried to explain the history...a nice place if you want to skip the crowded touristic places but still learn about Japan history

One of the very few interesting things to do in Sakai. Beautiful big townhouse. Volunteer staff was trying his best to give explanations in English.

Old style Japanese house very nice to build and using mostly wooden works. Still they are maintained well.

It's worth visiting. A quick museum, maybe 15 minutes, but interesting history.

The history of the most famous blacksmith in japan when firsarms were first introduced to Japan is fascinating.
