Amazing food
View on GoogleOrdered the special lunch changing the udon to curry udon. The number of items was large and it was a huge volume. Super good value. I chose the spiciest level 5 for the curry udon. It was delicious.
View on GoogleLunch on this day was at "Tosaya Udon Fukai Branch" in Fukai. My family went to the udon restaurant "Tosaya Udon Fukai Branch" located a little north of Fukai Station on the Senboku Rapid Railway. I had the "Curry Udon Set Meal" with a large serving of udon (1.5 portions), my child had the "Karaage Ladies Set Meal", and my wife had the "Wanpaku Ten Udon". The "Curry Udon Set Meal" is exquisite! A set meal consisting of curry udon, white rice (small), and a mini salad. The karaage ladies set meal consisted of a mini curry udon, 2 pieces of karaage, and chikuwa tempura. "Tosaya Udon" is an udon restaurant with two branches in Sakai and Senboku. The main store is in Izumigaoka, Fukasaka. I had been to the main store several times, but this was my first visit to the Fukai branch. By the way, for parking, use a nearby parking lot. They give you service tickets depending on the amount spent on food. Now, As for the "Curry Udon", it seems to be Tosaya Udon's most popular menu item. Thick, chewy udon noodles. The curry broth is made by adding curry powder to udon broth and thickening it. The ingredients are beef and onions. Green onions and thread chili were added on top of the udon. It was a curry udon where you could solidly taste the umami of beef. The seasoning was a little sweet, and this was the type of curry udon I like. You can adjust the spiciness from 1 (normal) to 5 (very spicy). Level 1 (normal) was enough for me. The curry udon set meal was super delicious~~~
View on GoogleWhile looking for lunch around Senboku Rapid Fukai Station, I came across an udon restaurant with "carefully prepared" dishes and went in with no prior info. Inside, it was crowded during lunchtime. More than half the people ordered curry udon. I hesitated because I had curry yesterday too, so what I ordered was "Tempura Rice Bowl Set Meal - Kitsune Udon". The golden combination. When ordering, "It will take some time to boil the udon," came the friendly response. The tempura rice bowl has 2 medium-sized shrimp tempura of good material, good frying technique where even the tail can be eaten. Onion kakiage, pumpkin, and perilla leaves were also good. The fried tofu of kitsune udon has just a slight sweetness without disturbing the clear, delicious dashi broth.
View on GoogleI was born and raised in Osaka, but in my childhood I had never heard of abura-kasu udon. Is this a trend from the last 10-20 years? I had business stopping by Osaka, so I dropped by here to try abura-kasu udon. When served, the bowl felt small, but as I ate on, I became quite full. The udon had a thick, chewy texture, and the abura-kasu was stewed softly, making it delicious to eat.
