Visited for dinner wanting to freshly fried tempura. There was an announcement that rice was just running out and being cooked, but it would be ready in about 10 minutes, so if so, wouldn't it be freshly cooked and ordered the tempura set meal. Truly, they bring freshly fried tempura each time, so it's freshly fried hot, the batter is crispy and delicious. Glad they also tell you recommendations each time, like chicken tender is seasoned so as is, or algae salt is available to your liking. I had a warm and delicious meal, understandable why there was a waiting line at the storefront.
View on GoogleTempura "Makino" which always seems packed whenever I see it in Umeda or Namba. When I first saw this restaurant, I avoided it thinking it was definitely a rip-off of that favorite restaurant of mine in Fukuoka, But when I actually went, it was normally a good shop, so I'll introduce it. What I ate is the most popular below↓ ● Makino Tempura Set Meal ¥1,320 Style where freshly fried tempura is placed right in front of you. Of course the same as that shop 😂 However what surprised me was that each and every tempura piece is huge 😯 Tempura has 6 types: Shrimp, lotus root, Japanese whiting, maitake mushroom, pumpkin, chicken Chicken tempura is at a level of thickness you don't see often 😅 And it's properly delicious. Besides tentsuyu, there are also black shichimi and salt on the table. Speaking of the table, a big feature is that squid salted fish and yuzu daikon are all-you-can-take 😍 Furthermore, miso soup and rice are included, and rice is also all-you-can-refill 😋 Service is extremely fulfilling. By the way, I went to the Sakai-Higashi branch because I had business in Sakai-Higashi, and since it was less crowded than Kita or Namba, it's a hidden gem.
View on GoogleTempura Makino-san, I often see it as a chain store, but it's my first time entering! Once the order goes through, miso soup and rice are served first. Soon after, it's a system where freshly fried tempura 🍤 is served in front of you in order ‼️ First three items, after a little time one item, and with another time lag the last two items ✨ They seem to check our pace properly... Wonderful 👍 And the freshly fried tempura 🍤 is crispy! The happiness of eating piping hot while puffing air 😃♪ They also properly teach recommended ways to eat (pumpkin 🎃 as is, maitake mushroom with tentsuyu, etc.) 😊 That's also a high point ♪ I would like to visit again!
View on GoogleI've been to the Namba one a few times, but this is the first here. Freshly fried tempura is served in order, and rice is free to refill. Prices have gotten quite higher compared to a few years ago, but it's content you can be satisfied with.
View on GoogleEntered for a weekday dinner, got the Makino tempura set meal. Shrimp, Japanese whiting, lotus root, maitake mushroom, aged chicken, and pumpkin come out freshly fried in order. It has umami, is crispy, and has the usual deliciousness. At this restaurant, there was a limited menu Taru chicken tempura set meal so I would like to eat it next time. Makino seems to have a different atmosphere depending on the branch. The inside of the store was relatively empty, so I could eat leisurely without waiting in line. Rice can be refilled. Goes well with yuzu daikon and squid salted fish. Thank you for the meal.
