I visited Sourire Okashi no Atelier. It's a local cake shop that offers both takeout and eat-in. They had a great selection of baked goods too. I think they'd make welcome gifts. I took out 3 kinds of cream puffs. Karikari Choux 130 yen Caramel Choux 130 yen Sakusaku Choux 130 yen. The cream puffs are packed with cream, and it's nice how the pastry's texture keeps things fun. The caramel one has a bit of bitterness. The Karikari and Sakusaku are almost the same, but the Karikari is topped with zarame sugar, so its texture feels harder. The shortcakes are small and cute-sized too. Next time I'd like to buy a cake.
View on GoogleI ordered a birthday cake for a friend who loves JoJo. The photos of character cakes in the shop had raised my expectations, but it went even beyond them... It was so well made that my friend and I were super excited the whole time! My friend said it was too precious to eat and they wanted to laminate it! The happiest cake they'd ever received in their life!☺️ Of course the cake was delicious too, and the 3 of us polished off a whole one. All the staff were personable, and even though it was my first time at the shop, I felt at ease leaving the cake to them. Thank you so, so much for finishing it so carefully! I'd love to order from you again🥰
View on GoogleEven amid soaring prices, the cakes here are really reasonable. The cake itself is cheap at 2900 yen, and they can add a character for around 500 yen. (Price varies by character) The taste is, for better or worse, ordinary, but the kids are thrilled. The display samples in the shop were faded, so I was a bit worried about how it would turn out, but the real thing was super cute and photogenic, and easy on the parents' wallet too, which I appreciate. The chocolate cake with the dripping chocolate design is cute and I recommend it! (Photo is size 5)
View on GoogleI casually walked into a shop I'd been seeing for a while but had never gone into. It was evening, so there weren't many items left, and I bought about 2 cakes. Considering recent price hikes, a little over 400 yen per cake including tax is cheap. The taste was good too. The cream puffs and macarons seem to be well regarded, so I think I'll buy those next time.
View on GoogleI don't even want to give it 1 ☆. The shop is quite cramped. You have to order at least 4 days in advance, but since they'll draw a character illustration, I'd ordered several times; however, a few years ago the taste dropped a lot and it got bad. Also, all the employees are careless and unfriendly. The cake tastes bad, but my child said they really, really wanted to eat the macarons from here on their birthday! So I went to ask whether things other than cake could be reserved, and they answered with a sneer. The birthday is on Christmas, so I always reserve the cake more than a month in advance. On top of that, the illustration has been made smaller, or they couldn't add it at all. Even so, because my child said they wanted macarons!, all I did was ask whether I could reserve just macarons for 12/25, and by when I should reserve. I'll never go again, and I told my child there are tastier macarons out there. Every single year, as the birthday approaches, they send a birthday cake postcard, but I don't want it, so next time they send one I plan to refuse delivery.
