The staff is very nice. Excellent service was provided. Food was inexpensive, less than 1000 yen for the whole set.
View on GoogleThe best Shokudo l have tried in Japan. Excellent food with super low price, will visit every time l visit Osaka.
View on GoogleA Showa-atmosphere Shokudo. You can choose from more types of side dishes than places like XX Shokudo, which makes choosing fun! There are also mini sizes for rice, noodles, and soups, which is kind to people who want to eat a variety of things or those who cannot eat large quantities. All the dishes were delicious. There were many male customers, but the atmosphere is relatively easy for a single woman to enter. There are about 4 parking spaces in the back of the restaurant.
View on GoogleI was wandering around and entered because it was open past 3 PM. The exterior is old. 4 parking spaces, turn left immediately after passing the traffic light. I ordered the large portion of Haikara Udon. The dashi broth is effective and the volume is flawless. Since there were many colored autograph boards of celebrities, I wonder if it's a famous shop? I'd like to go again if I drop by nearby.
View on GoogleAs for a town shokudo, it was a shop that stood out too much and felt too major since long ago, so I never entered and always walked right past it. Found a review saying "Chuka soba is delicious," so I got curious and entered. A reassuring shop for customers, as the only closed day is Sunday and they stay open all day on weekdays. The amount of pre-made side dishes is insane. A system where you grab a tray and sit down while choosing. Well, I grabbed a tray for the time being, No, no, this is a pattern where I'm going to take too much. It has a real diner, Maido Ookini Shokudo, and above-feeling vibe, lol. Reluctantly and feeling a bit drawn back, Ordered "Chuka Soba" as a single item. This is Chuka soba on the level of a proper ramen shop rather than town shokudo ramen. The soup is a light version of chicken paitan, and the noodles are chewy and firm, which is very much to my liking. 540 yen. They know how to strike a good spot with pricing. It wouldn't be profitable in the 400 yen range, and at 600-700 yen people would go to Chinese restaurants. I understood and was convinced why everyone goes for this Chuka soba at a shokudo. Now I know why it's thriving and has been in business for many years. There is an Aeon Mall down the street, but If it's cheap and delicious, this place is definitely better. Generally, I've never been satisfied at a food court.
