A shop located in Chikushidai, Senboku New Town, Osaka Prefecture. It's far from the nearest station (Izumigaoka or Toga-Mikita Station) and has plenty of parking, making it convenient to access by car. Arrived around 1 PM on a weekday, it's a slightly aged shop. Upon entering, there was one group of customers. It is run by an elderly couple originally from Kagawa Prefecture. There are counter seats and table seats, we sat at a table seat. ■ Anko Mochi Udon (700 yen) While looking at the menu thinking of having some normal udon, found the words "Anko Mochi Udon" next to the daily set meal! Just the other day, I was moved by having "Anmochi Zoni" in Kagawa. Ordered it immediately!! On top of warm udon, there are two "anko mochi" filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. Topped with kitsune age and kamaboko. It's quite large, deep-fried and piping hot to the center☆ The mochi is said to be handmade by the mother. It's a limited-time item, happened to be there when I went, but doesn't seem to be available every time. I love how the saltiness and sweetness alternate!! ■ Daily Set Meal (1000 yen) Menu seems to change depending on the day of the week. This day was a mix featuring hamburger steak, fried shrimp, and bite-sized cutlet. Comes with udon, rice, a side dish, and pickles. The side dish was a boiled egg and broccoli mix. For udon, tempura bits and grated ginger are at the counter as you like. ■ Oden (150 yen) Take it yourself from the oden pot next to the counter and self-report! Had the atsuage. 150 yen each, tendon is 250 yen. There are many types of menu items, and locals seem to order the daily special often. Both the husband and wife were friendly and talked about various things☆
View on GoogleA shop I've known since the days when it was located right next to the premises of a car dealership in Kadoma City. It got far after moving to Sakai City, but now a parking lot has been built. The firmness of the udon is still consistent, and unlike Sanuki udon chain stores, the dashi has a nice aroma. Considering the price, the menu has a good volume so you'll get full. Rather than expecting customer service like a udon chain store, imagining the atmosphere of an independent Sanuki self-service shop might be closer. I want to go eat there again.
View on GoogleVisited April 11, 2024 Visited for lunch, ordered the daily set meal (750 yen). Today it's toriten instead of karaage. It seems to come with udon, so I asked for hiyakake. At the counter you can freely top with green onions, tempura bits, and ginger. The noodles are firm, thick, and have good volume. After a while, the toriten and other items arrived. 7 pieces of toriten, which is also quite a volume. The side dish bowl is also delicious. I thought the rice might be small, but it felt just right.
View on GoogleThe udon soup is a broth that puts iriko to the forefront, trying to resemble Sanuki. The noodles are noodles that people will either love or hate. It has firmness, but it's a rough noodle, so I think it's hard to eat cold. Unlike Sanuki-like medium-thick noodles, it's thick, making it even harder to eat. It's not Sanuki's smooth and chewy noodles, nor Osaka's chewy and smooth noodles. The price is cheap‼️ The side dishes of the set meal and each item are delicious‼️ I want this shop to run for a long time. I'll drop by again.
View on GoogleAn udon shop in the residential area of Chikushidai 'Sanuki Ichiban'. The daily set meal is voluminous and cheap❗ The udon is Sanuki chewy udon, and when it's done, you go pick it up at the counter and put in green onions, ginger, tempura bits, etc. yourself. The daily set meal when I went was tempura, but the amount of tempura was so much that I didn't even need the udon. Shrimp, eggplant, lotus root, sweet potato, etc. Rice is small, but otherwise you couldn't finish it. There is also a parking lot. The taste was delicious too.
