As a longtime fan of this artist, I really wanted to visit this museum. We took the train from tennoji and at the station it was easy to found the museum. The staff was nice and helpful. The exhibition was very beautiful and the shop is great. Highly recommended to visit this museum.
View on GoogleArrived close to opening time on a Tuesday, so there was no wait line. The exhibition on display was called "Harmony", we were very impressed by the museum's collection and organization. The gift shop had good variety of items available, including art books and prints. Definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates art nouveau :)
View on GoogleLoved the Alphonse Mucha exhibition. There were many of his works in display which were divided into a few sections by theme. In each sections, there were interactive experience offered, for example, in the smell section, there were 5 different floral fragrances made by local perfumer that you could smell. They smelt absolutely stunning, in particular the one has yuzu and rose notes. You can't take photos except in 2 spots and there were no English description for each work so it was bit difficult to fully understand the story and history behind the artworks. Hope they would provide English descriptions in the future. There were what they call Photo Spot on level 3 which had a lot cute props you could use to take photos with friends.
View on GoogleThis museum houses the second largest collection of Mucha's work in the world. Not all of it is on display at once; they rotate out certain pieces periodically throughout the year. I'm rather surprised some other reviewers were dissatisfied with the size of the museum: as a Mucha fan I felt that I saw a very nice representation of his work, including the show-stopping snake bracelet/ring. It's rare to see sculpture or jewelry of his and I saw both. It's very easy and cheap to access from Tennjoi Station in Osaka (less than 10 minutes by JR Rapid Train) and for the 500 yen admission (about $5 USD) you really can't miss it if you're a Mucha/art nouveau fan. Today when I went, they were also showing some Lalique pieces in collaboration with the Lalique museum in Hakone.

The space is intimate and thoughtfully curated, allowing visitors to appreciate the details of Mucha’s artistry up close. From his iconic advertisements to rare sketches and panels, the exhibition highlights both his commercial success and his influence on modern art.
