A long-standing coffee shop. It's so established that if this place were gone, Otori Wings might not feel like Wings anymore. It's practically at cultural asset level. My impression of the shop is that elderly people are always spreading out newspapers and drinking coffee. It's my first time eating here, but as I got closer, it had a jungle feel. The counter chairs were new. I wanted to eat a set meal, but set meals seem to be only until 4 PM. Since it was past 4 PM, I had the pancakes. Rather than pancakes, it felt like a hot cake overflowing with the Showa era. Good atmosphere.

I chose the dry curry and blend coffee. You can choose between a salad and miso soup.

A quintessential Showa retro coffee shop. It seems to have been running for over 30 years. I had always just walked past it, but with Daiei itself closing its doors after 45 years at the end of January 2025, I decided to go for breakfast. 430 yen with toast is cheap. I want it to survive even under AEON management. (Postscript) Even under AEON, it has defiantly survived and is operating to high acclaim.
