It was my third time in the shop.I like the style, its small and very cozy. The cook was friendly and he tried to translate the menu. However is expensive compared with other ramen shops ( 1000 yen of a ramen and 600 yen for a beer) and doesnt have wifi. Also the digital menu doesnt have english translation, what makes pointless for a small shop.
View on GoogleI had lunch at ウサギPLUS in Sakai-Higashi. The hot shoyu ramen came with pork chashu, and it was light yet full of umami — delicious. The cold shio ramen my coworker ordered had chicken chashu and seemed perfect for a hot day. Both were tasty and satisfying, but the ticket machine was a bit hard to figure out, and that was the only slightly disappointing point. Still, the taste and atmosphere were good, and it's a ramen shop I'd like to go back to.
View on GoogleRamen, and... rabbit!? Intrigued by the curious name, I visited for a lunchtime ramen. It's a buy-a-meal-ticket-from-the-machine style, but as soon as I arrived a staff member took my order, so the ticket machine had become just a sensible system for paying up front. Perhaps because of the season, it looks like you can choose hot or cold ramen. But you know, to me ramen is something hot. Shio ramen with a soft-boiled egg topping, hot. Inside the shop there were signs that さかなクン had visited. After a short wait, the ramen arrived. It was topped with wonderfully colorful vegetables, including kaiware radish sprouts, which quietly made me happy. Whether that's the 'rabbit' part remains a mystery. The marinated egg was moist, the chashu tender, the soup delicious and soothing, and I finished it in no time.
View on GoogleI visited RAMEN LABO ウサギ PLUS. As the name suggests, its distinctive concept, as if they're 'researching' ramen, was impressive. The look is somewhat refined too, giving the vibe of a modern bowl. You can tell the soup is carefully made, and the balance of flavors isn't bad. It pairs well with the noodles, and overall it's above a certain level of quality. However, since my expectations were high, I didn't feel an impact strong enough to stick in my memory. It's by no means bad, but it felt a bit lacking in terms of standout individuality. My impression is that it's the kind of place you enjoy including the atmosphere, and overall I'd rate it 3 stars.
View on GoogleI had the shoyu ramen and a chashu rice bowl. As for the ramen, it was good that the soup was piping hot. The flavor was closer to oden than to soy sauce. It's not a flavor I dislike. It's topped with pea shoots, but kaiware radish sprouts might go better... The texture of the onions was a nice accent. A small dead bug came out of the ramen. Well, I don't mind too much. As for the noodles, I fairly liked them. There was no kansui smell, so I could enjoy them. The chashu bowl had bonito flakes in it, so it was a flavor I simply liked. This was my first time, but it didn't go beyond ordinary, so ☆3.
