This joint is for people who really love seafood, especially the taste of shrimp broth. It was very tasty. Will come again.
View on GoogleThe crispy garlic at this place is the bomb! 🥰
View on GoogleA seafood-centric ramen chain originating from Sasebo, Nagasaki. Also has 3 branches in Osaka. With a rich clam-based broth and homemade shrimp oil packed with shrimp, it's literally all about shrimp!! A few years ago, I had shrimp ramen in Tokyo where the shrimp broth was so strong it was overpowering, and I wasn't a huge fan (though I like fried shrimp and sweet shrimp sashimi). But this place hits the sweet spot 🍜 Though the shrimp still has a strong presence. Maybe it's neutralized by the mild broth. Shrimp lovers should definitely check it out.
View on GoogleA ramen shop on the 2nd floor of Mikunigaoka Station. Their signature Toride Ramen is 850 yen. With a light broth full of umami from clams, it tastes somewhat like a Western seafood stew rather than ramen. Eating just the soup and noodles for kaedama (extra noodles) really highlights how good it is. It's a delicious ramen you never get tired of. It seems to be a hugely popular ramen shop in its hometown of Sasebo, with each branch averaging over 4 stars on Google Maps. While recognition in Osaka still seems low, they apparently have locations in Daikokucho and Kyomachibori in addition to Mikunigaoka.
View on GoogleAddition on March 23, 2024 I heard it's closing this month so I went for one last time. It's disappointing since it was a ramen I personally liked. The flavor was good, so it might have been even better if the atmosphere inside the shop was a bit more lively. Thank you for the meal. ++++++++++++++++ A ramen shop on the 2F of Nankai Mikunigaoka Station. This is where Ryukishin's station ramen Su-Su-Ru used to be. I can't help but compare them, but I think I prefer the taste here. Both the soup and noodles were delicious. The soft serve ice cream was also good. I'm so grateful to be able to get it for 250 yen!
