For all the foreigners out there, the ramen is good. I had their house ramen, which was a bit spicy for me. But for those who like spice, I think it will be fine. It is a bit pricey (about 1600 yen), but the taste of the ramen is good. I recommend coming if you want a taste of the town. Water is available with the meal, but it is self service water.

View on GoogleOnce you eat it, you'll be addicted! A shop with a taste that "you can only eat here," almost like a specialty of Sakai. I post many gourmet reviews of Sakai and South Osaka on Instagram under the name Food Mom! I hope it helps you find a shop😋 --------------- 【Impressions】 A shop in Shukuin founded in 1985. Before that, they ran a Chinese restaurant. The first-generation owner couldn't forget the taste he ate at a street stall made by a Cambodian in Sakai when he was a child, so he spent about 3 years through trial and error to create "Phnom Penh Soba". It has been introduced in many media, and many celebrities have visited. I heard it had a bit of a quirk, so I didn't have the courage to go, but as a Sakai native, I thought I had to go! So I went. Around 11:30 on Sunday, seats were still empty and I was able to enter immediately. Parking is available for 6 cars across the road. There are 2 types of menus: Phnom Penh Soba or without soba. Each can be chosen whether to have roast pork, extra vegetables, or extra soba. There is also homemade roast pork for 1100 yen and rice for 280 yen. Since it was my first time, I didn't really understand, so I ordered 2 with soba and 1 without soba. After ordering, steam rose from behind the counter, and a spicy, stimulating aroma that whets the appetite came out. It turns out they make the soup by stir-frying it in a Chinese wok. When you take a sip of the soup, the sour and spicy taste spreads strongly. Inside the soup are tomatoes, celery, and vegetables like "shakushina" which is similar to shirona, and it's crunchy! Especially, the celery included is rare and goes really well with this punchy soup. I think this is a taste that will be addictive for those who like [sour and spicy]!! I'm addicted, and I want to eat it again while making videos🤤 They are very particular about the ingredients, such as Hachibei tomatoes from Yashiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, celery from Hamamatsu, Nagano Prefecture, garlic from Aomori Prefecture, domestic pork, Shakushina vegetables grown in-house, a unique blend of rice purchased directly from a rice shop, and water taken from the spring water of Mt. Iwawaki. The drinking water was also like spring water, and it was indeed delicious‼︎ Personally, it was totally fine without noodles, so if I go next time, I will try the one without soba with roast pork😋 However, an additional 660 yen might be a bit expensive... For those who don't like spicy food or small children, please refrain🙇♀️ The first-generation owner was at the storefront and talked a lot with me, it was fun✨ Now his son is the second generation --------------- 【Menu ordered】 ・Phnom Penh Soba 1210 yen ・Phnom Penh Soba without soba 1100 yen --------------- 【Points】 ・Menu is Phnom Penh Soba or without soba, then arrange it ・Children below lower elementary school grades are not allowed (because it is spicy) ・Cash only ・Ends as soon as sold out --------------- 📍Phnom Penh 🅿️6 cars across the road 📷Thank you for watching until the end♩
View on GoogleBecause I happened to pass by for a late lunch, I entered without looking up anything. Past 14:00, there were about 6 previous customers. I ordered the same Phnom Penh and rice as the customer next to me. I was also curious about the roast pork, but I gave up because it was over 2000 yen for lunch. My first bite impression was spicy. The sourness of the tomato was not felt much. The crunchy texture of the Shakushina was good. Is celery ethnic style? If there was no celery, it felt like a soy sauce-based stamina ramen with light garlic. I haven't eaten Ten-Suta or Saika for a while, so it's a world of memory. Anyway, because it's spicy, the rice was quite good. The amount is between a small rice and a medium rice from other companies. Anyway, the evaluation will be divided depending on how you take the Phnom Penh Rice for 1450 yen. Personally, will I visit again to eat roast pork? Maybe not?
View on GoogleVietnam•Ho Chi Minh Cambodia•Phnom Penh A former town Chinese restaurant that reproduced the "taste" that the first-generation owner ate at a Cambodian street stall in Sakai that his father took him to when he was a child, after trial and error. Currently, the menu is simple such as "Phnom Penh Soba", "Roast Pork", and "Rice". It was a dish I had never eaten before, with the spiciness of chili powder, not Sichuan pepper. Thank you Phnom Penh, which I had wanted to visit for a long time and finally could! Thank you for the meal. I was able to eat a lot of vegetables.
