I visited Hosouchi Udon Sobadokoro Kansai Fukai Branch. Visiting during the evening hours, I had the tenzaru udon for 1617 yen and several kinds of oden. This restaurant's specialty is its transparent, thin udon. When you eat it, the throat-feel is exceptionally smooth, and it has a unique texture reminiscent of Morioka cold noodles. Personally, it's my favorite udon place. The tempura is also fried to a crisp, and the shrimp and vegetables are satisfying. Another characteristic is that instead of using regular tempura dipping sauce, you dip them into the udon broth. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and it was nice to be able to enjoy a meal leisurely.

9/5/2026 Visited Kansai Fukai Branch 5 🏃 Entered just before lunch on a weekend Saturday and was seated immediately (lol) Shared Kansai all-toppings, Tamagodon, and Nabeyaki Udon between two people 😋🍴 First, the Tamagodon arrived 😋 It has good dashi flavor, but the taste is so strong it makes you thirsty 😅 Kansai's tempura is also crispy and the shrimp is plump and delicious, but... because the dashi is too strong, I got tired of it 😅 Drank too much cold tea 😅 (lol)

The Kansai udon packed with ingredients was very satisfying. It's easy to access with a parking lot, making it convenient when you want to casually eat udon in Fukai.

I used "Hosouchi Udon Sobadokoro Kansai Fukai Branch" located in Naka-ku, Sakai City. This restaurant operates until late hours, and I felt very grateful that it is open until 4 AM. It's surprisingly rare to find a place that serves warm food late at night, so I think that point is a major appeal. The udon is slightly thin and easy to eat, and the dashi flavor was solid, allowing me to enjoy it deliciously. However, personally, I felt the prices were a bit high overall, making me hesitate slightly to use it casually and frequently. Even so, considering the solid taste and the convenience of being able to use it late at night, it's a worthwhile restaurant. This time I give it a 3-star rating.
