First visit around 18:30 on 2026/8/11. I remember visiting the Otori branch and eating ramen about 30 years ago. This time I came because my junior colleague and I said let's also eat yakiniku. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen (with kakuni) and garlic ramen, and it was delicious ‼️ A simple, old-school Kyushu ramen. The proprietress (beautiful) and the female staff member were both very attentive, and I thought it's a shop loved by the locals. I sat around the middle of the counter, and the air conditioning was blowing strongly enough to feel cold, so I didn't have to sweat. Lol Return visit confirmed 👍

Founded in 1981, their rich tonkotsu shoyu ramen and hearty meat served in a retro-style interior have been loved by locals and drivers for many years. Hybrid of Ramen and Yakiniku: Although fundamentally a ramen shop, it features a rich selection of authentic yakiniku menu items such as loin, skirt steak (harami), and galbi. Many regular customers fully enjoy the luxurious way of eating by 'slurping ramen as a finish after enjoying yakiniku.' Signature 'Tonkotsu Ramen': The signature 'tonkotsu ramen' features chunks of large spare ribs (pork kakuni and cartilage) simmered for over 3 hours in ginger soy sauce or miso until melt-in-your-mouth tender. The soup is rich yet somehow gentle and addictive. Homey Showa Atmosphere: The personality of the cheerful and warm proprietress (mother) from Kagoshima has also become a specialty of the shop, offering a homey comfort as if returning to your parents' home.
View on GoogleThis shop has been frequently introduced on social media lately. An unusual shop where you can have yakiniku and ramen together. A dream-like combination. Visited around 11:20 on a Monday. No wait. A notice says the signature salt beef tongue is available to order from 2 servings. In the end, I ordered harami, small rice, and garlic ramen. The #1 most popular is tonkotsu ramen, and garlic ramen is #2. By the way, ramen at this shop is basically tonkotsu-based. It seems the menu item named tonkotsu ramen refers to a deluxe version containing kakuni. I struggled with the timing of the order, but ordered everything at once. Items arrived in this order: harami -> rice -> garlic ramen. Everything was served within 10 minutes. So, grill meat, eat ramen, eat meat, eat ramen. My hands and mouth were extremely busy. And the sense of happiness gained was off the charts. The ramen is not as rich as it looks and is easy to eat. The harami is coated with a sweet sauce and goes very well with white rice. The only thing that bothered me slightly was that the rice was a bit mushy. Next time, I would like to revisit someday with multiple people aiming for the salt tongue.
View on GoogleA shop introduced on social media as a place where you can enjoy ramen and yakiniku together. When it comes to tonkotsu ramen, it's 'Kyushu,' and the representative is 'Fukuoka,' among which it splits into the birthplace 'Kurume' and the popular 'Hakata Nagahama.' Even within Kyushu, Kumamoto ramen is characterized by the aroma of garlic chips and black garlic oil, positioning 'Hakata Nagahama,' 'Kurume,' and 'Kumamoto' as the major styles. While 'Kagoshima ramen' is mainly a relatively light soup combining chicken bones and vegetables, here at 'Makoto,' rich and umami-rich soup feels like their pride, and because it's thin noodles, it clings firmly to the soup making it a delicious ramen to eat, and as you keep eating it becomes 'addictive'... Also, since you can enjoy 'yakiniku' as well, I understood very well why it's popular. 'Salt tongue,' 'harami,' and 'tecchan' were said to be popular, but this time I chose 'tecchan.' The 'tecchan' had delicious 'fat sweetness.' The harami and other items seemed delicious, featuring their pride in a fruity, sweet yakiniku sauce luxuriously made using apples and bananas.
View on GoogleHaving this today! Visited to have a yakiniku restaurant's ramen! Since it's a yakiniku restaurant, you can of course have yakiniku too! This time I only had the ramen! Instead of chashu, it contains cartilage cooked to a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness! It was a Kagoshima ramen that goes well with rice! Thank you for the meal!
