A kissaten (traditional coffee shop) healed by an old-fashioned atmosphere! This time I ordered the value set with the classic omurice and a drink ✨ Ketchup rice wrapped in a thin egg is simple yet has an orthodox deliciousness. Vegetables like carrots, onions, and bell peppers are mixed in a well-balanced way, and each texture is a pleasant accent! The somewhat nostalgic taste is irresistible. The accompanying side dishes are broccoli, wiener sausage, pumpkin, chikuwa stuffed with cucumber, croquette, etc. Misoshiru (miso soup) is also included ✨ After the meal, I had black tea and sweets and felt cozy. I was happy with the thoughtful consideration.
View on GoogleAn old-fashioned kissaten where the customers are local elderly people. The staff and customers were chattering away the whole time, but the relaxed atmosphere with a gentle tone made it comfortable to be in. I ordered spaghetti (Napolitan) for lunch. A nostalgic taste of sweet ketchup served on a piping hot iron plate. The ingredients included plenty of onions, bell peppers, and carrots, plus a fried egg sprinkled with black sesame seeds, a quarter of a croquette, a small chikuwa containing cucumber, wiener sausage, boiled pumpkin, and broccoli. I feel the kindness of the shopkeeper who wants you to eat various ingredients. And with miso soup included, it's 650 yen. A thankful price. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
View on GooglePersonally, I want to strongly support this place, 5 stars. A kissaten I'd quietly recommend to others. First of all, this shop competes on "comfort." There is a calm air typical of an old-fashioned kissaten, not a heavy silence, but a quietness that makes you let down your guard. The inside of the shop is quiet but not dark, there is a sense of security, and it's the kind of shop where you don't feel guilty staying a long time. The customer service is also very impressive. While conversing cheerfully with local customers, they kindly treated me, a first-time visitor, with the same warmth. I felt that the fact it hasn't become a "regulars-only world" directly links to its comfort. It's customer service with a slightly soft warmth unique to Sakai in Osaka. I only ordered coffee, but perhaps out of Osaka kindness, they quietly served a single bean rice cracker as a service. This little effort was huge, and it was the moment I genuinely thought, "Ah, I want to support this shop." There is no flashiness or Instagram-worthiness, but because of that, there's no gap with excessive expectations, and in a good way, a satisfaction of "above average, warming 5 stars" remains. If I were to point out a flaw, it might not appeal to people who want glamour or specialness, and if you expect cafe-meal elements, you might find it lacking. Even so, for me it was a place that gave me a very good experience in Sakai, and it's a kissaten that makes me think, "Quietly, but I want to seriously support it.
View on GoogleJun-kissa Hiro" ☕️ A 40-year-old shop loved by locals. A the. Jun-kissa in Sakai City. It is written as [鴻] and read as [Hiro]. Lunch here this time! 📍 Location is about a 6-minute walk from JR Hanwa Line [Sakai-shi Station] 🚶♀️ Inside the shop, there are six 6-person tables, quite spacious. (Just like Hiro w) The inside of the shop is unexpectedly clean 🤩 ============================ Products ordered this time 💁♀️ I ordered Curry ¥500 🍛 and Iced Coffee ¥400 Friend ordered Omurice ¥500 and Cocoa ¥450 ❤︎ Arrived in about 5 minutes (๑>◡<๑) The curry contained roux, rice, croquette, broccoli, sausage, pumpkin, chikuwa cucumber, and fukujinzuke. The taste was not too spicy and easy to eat! It was delicious! At Hiro, all items come with miso soup, and the taste is homey and heartwarming (^∇^) However, the croquette tasted a little strange. My friend's omurice was also simple and delicious ♪ The iced coffee was a bit weak. Thank you for the meal 😋 The clerks are a married couple, and the mother was extremely kind! She was upbeat and friendly ⭐︎ A jun-kissa I want to go to again!
