A twisted-bagel shop using konjac powder that I found on the map. Konjac powder! Wow. The business days are limited so it's a bit of a hurdle, but when I was in the area I was lucky enough to go on an open day! The cute shop in a residential area is a little hard to find, but the entrance is on the right side as you face it. Behind the sales space — a small showcase with cakes and sandwiches and twisted bagels lined up in baskets — there's an eat-in space where apparently you can have bagel sandwich lunches and desserts that change every 2 months. The twisted bagels have no konjac smell at all, are easy to eat, and are chewy yet super light. The twists are cute and vivid, and it's lovely that they don't use any coloring. The super reasonable lunches are all well seasoned and tasty, and the soup was packed with ingredients and very filling. The strawberry daifuku sandwich looked delicious too〜 Apparently they also run a rental kitchen on weekdays only.
View on Google『Jolie Poche -ジョリーポシェ-』, within a 5-minute walk from Asakayama Station It's a shop for konjac-infused twisted bagels I was imagining a pretty light menu with smaller portions, but the lunch menu when I visited had three options — teritama sandwich, croque monsieur, and roast beef sandwich — quite substantial, which personally made me happy! As you'd expect with konjac kneaded in, the twisted bagels are chewy, and they feel different from regular bagels, which is interesting The warm vegetables and clam chowder were delicious too; while it's a healthy combination, it still filled me up and I felt really satisfied! Thanks for the meal✨

View on GoogleI parked at a nearby parking lot. (Not sure if they validate parking.) It was delicious. I got really full. Personally, the vegetable soup and milk sherbet were especially good. The salmon cheese bagel set was 1100円, plus 400円 for the dessert & drink set.

The bagel sandwich, stuffed with plenty of teritama filling, looks voluminous, and the moment you pick it up you're surprised by its heft. The bagel is made with dough containing konjac powder; its mild flavor and chewy texture are pleasant, and it's very delicious. The chicken filling is full of umami, and the way its flavor layers with the egg is delicious too. There's plenty of julienned carrot and lettuce as well, with a fun crunchy texture that adds a healthy accent. A very delicious lunch plate that fills you up without any guilt. … A bagel specialty shop a little under 5 minutes' walk from Nankai's Asakayama Station. As you walk there, a clean white shop comes into view amid a hidden-gem-like neighborhood. Takeout is available from the window facing the street, and you enter the shop from the alley side. Inside is a cozy eat-in space with just two 4-person tables and one single-seat table. Warm lighting gently illuminates the interior, and there's a homey feel within the calm atmosphere. And above all, there's the shop's specialty, the twisted bagels. These are carefully crafted bagels with konjac powder and a chewy texture; their shape isn't just a plain ring but swells here and there, giving them a cute, flower-like look. There are many varieties, and they're not just fun to look at — they're filled with all sorts of things, so they're exciting to eat. A lovely shop I'd definitely recommend to bagel lovers.
