View on GoogleVisited in June 2026 on a Sunday afternoon after viewing the lotus flowers at the nearby Shirasagi Park. To sum it up briefly, it's a restaurant where you can enjoy home-style Western cuisine at price points equivalent to a hotel restaurant. It's not bad. It's average. I don't think they use particularly bad ingredients. The volume is average. At first glance it looks Instagrammable, but it wasn't a taste that makes you want to eat it over and over again, nor was it a taste you'd want to replicate at home. Did I accidentally travel too far into the future riding the big wave of high prices? I went a little past noon and it was super empty. The demographic was mostly male. Looking around, the water pitcher on the table was moderately depleted so it's not like customers aren't coming at all. However, the water pitcher at the table where I sat was completely full. And it was very lukewarm. Given this situation, it might be a very recommended restaurant for those who want to enjoy their meals slowly and leisurely. Also, maybe recommended for people who want to take photogenic food pictures? Conversely, for those with a specific purpose—wanting to eat something delicious, wanting something freshly fried and piping hot, wanting something voluminous, wanting something rare and interesting—I wouldn't really recommend it. ※I obtained permission from the staff before taking photos inside the shop. All the photos posted were taken with the initial iPhone settings, but every single photo taken inside the shop turned out very vivid. It's a mystery. They must pay great attention to the interior lighting. (^ω^)
View on GoogleGrill Tommy Nakamozu is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy orthodox Western cuisine with a touch of nostalgia. The interior has a calm atmosphere, is cozy, and provides a space where you can enjoy your meal leisurely. Classic menus such as hamburger steaks, fried shrimp, and omurice are available, and you can tell that each dish is carefully prepared. Especially the hamburger steak is plump and juicy, with the meat's umami clearly felt, and it goes great with the sauce. While maintaining a solid volume, its charm lies in its well-balanced goodness that lets you delicious finish every bite. It's a perfect restaurant when you want to thoroughly enjoy old-school Western food, and highly recommended for both families and solo diners.
View on GoogleToday's lunch was at Shirasagi, Sakai, "Grill Tommy Nakamozu Branch". I went with my family to "Grill Tommy Nakamozu Branch", a restaurant located along the street on the way from Nankai Koya Line Shirasagi Station toward Osaka Prefectural University. I had the "Omurice + Karaage", the child had the student-only "Manpuku Set", and my wife had the "Omurice + Fried Shrimp". Lunch comes with a cup of soup. The "Manpuku Set" was a set of omurice, special cream croquette, and karaage. Now, This "Grill Tommy Nakamozu Branch" is part of the popular chain "Grill Tommy Part 2" located in Minamiosamacho, Sakai Ward. Despite being the "Nakamozu Branch", the restaurant is actually closer to "Shirasagi Station" than "Nakamozu Station". First, the soup, and before long, The "Omurice + Karaage" made its appearance. The "Omurice + Karaage" came on a single plate with omurice, karaage, green salad, and a slice of lemon. The omurice was topped with a ketchup-based sauce. The "Karaage" featured 3 pieces of juicy karaage with a soft texture! The "Omurice" looks like a traditional Western restaurant omurice type. However, the egg is not a thin crepe, but a thick, fluffy omelet made with plenty of eggs. The ketchup rice has crunchy onions that feel super nice! It truly was the ultimate omurice. The omurice and karaage were super delicious~~
View on GoogleVisited around 13:20 on a weekday 😃 There is a coin parking lot nearby. I've been curious about it for a while so I ordered the omurice, hamburger steak, and fried shrimp 😃 The hamburger steak was delicious and the fried shrimp was plump and tasty 🎵 The omurice is also super delicious. The salad was delicious too 😁 I will visit again 👍️
