I recommend visiting all the other related museums in the vicinity related to Sakai's history and how important of a city it was for Japan's millitary development and how matcha came to be as popular.

We stopped into this museum on a whim while in Sakai, and we are so glad we did, the gentleman running the front desk was very nice and helpful, and the elderly woman who gave us a tour of the facility and helped us with some of the museum content was so kind, helpful, and made the visit a true joy. She showed us her drawings of the facility which were gorgeous, and she had English-written notes to help her explain to us the history of the home and gunsmith. 10/10 would come again, a real highlight of our day in Sakai.
