First time trying conveyor sushi and it was great.
View on GoogleNot recommendable except price, though in that area, price isn't matter.
View on GoogleWhen you feel like sushi, don't overthink it, just go here. Basically, one plate is 165円. The toppings are fresh. Order from the chef and they'll make it right away, so you can eat freshly made sushi. Though you wait a little if lots of orders come in. The gari is the pink kind I like. It's a little disappointing that the only alcohol is beer and sake.
View on GoogleSelf-service is the norm for conveyor belt sushi, but 「元禄寿司」 is a little different. There are chefs inside the belt, and if you order a topping that isn't circulating, they make it for you on the spot. It feels a little luxurious and a little delightful, so I like it. Today's lunch, with fish akadashi, was tai, squid, eel, octopus salad, shrimp, and kappa maki. Everything was reliably delicious. The deep flavor of the akadashi combined with the umami of the tai and eel, making what I intended as a quick meal thoroughly satisfying. It may cost a little more than the famous chains, but with the closeness to the chefs and the live experience of seeing sushi made right in front of you, it's a place I like for enjoying sushi in a good mood.
View on GoogleThe uncovered sushi circulating on the belt had dried-out toppings. I placed orders to have sushi made, but the coldness of the toppings (their chilled storage conditions) was inconsistent, and the bintoro was particularly bad, I think? Even though I ordered it directly, the topping was at room temperature and its smell bothered me. I'd like them to manage the toppings' temperature properly. The prices are low considering the location, which is a good point. The fish-trimming akadashi was tastier than I expected too. The scales had been removed reasonably well from the trimmings, making the flesh easy to eat. The staff were lively, and I personally liked the atmosphere. Fast service was another good point. It's a shop I hope keeps doing its best and doesn't lose out to the big chains.
