A Chinese restaurant loved by locals for over 50 years since its founding. Feel warm with the taciturn artisan-like master and the always kind mother. Rice dishes, noodle dishes, and other dishes are carefully prepared one by one, have generous portions, and good cost performance. They used to have Shaoxing wine, but it's sad that it's gone.
View on GoogleLunch during GW 2024 when I went with my wife to the Sayamaike Museum designed by Mr. Tadao Ando. This shop is one on my unvisited town-chinese list. As expected, the rustic exterior and the fact that most customers seem like regulars make it a typical community-rooted shop. My wife chose chanpon and I chose chashu ramen. The chanpon was as expected, neither Nagasaki nor Amagasaki style but their own original style, but the chashu ramen I ordered was an unexpected hit. Chashu floating in a gentle soy sauce and dashi-infused soup, superb. To think you can eat this for 650 yen! It's a dish I definitely want to recommend. Due to the considerable distance from my current residence, it's hard to visit, but a shop that makes me want to visit again when going near there. Thank you for the meal. Addition: Regarding the "Sayamaike Museum" mentioned at the beginning, I highly recommend it to architecture lovers (laughs)
View on GoogleThis is a Chinese restaurant that has been around for a long time in Kitanoda I went at lunchtime on a Saturday, and the shop was full of customers. The orders are Gyoza Ramen Assorted Yakisoba Mapo Tofu These 4 items The gyoza has a slightly sour filling and a soft texture The skin is also soft and quite tender The ramen has very soft and delicious chashu, very easy-to-eat thin noodles, and the soup is chicken bone and soy sauce flavored, refreshing and can be eaten until the end without getting tired The assorted yakisoba has noodles as thick as udon, giving outstanding eating satisfaction! The seafood mix also had plenty of shrimp, squid, and vegetables, which was delicious Soup was just the right amount of saltiness, Chinese food is usually quite punchy in flavor but this one has a very gentle seasoning which I liked a lot Mapo Tofu is full of minced meat with a hint of ginger and has a very home-cooked delicious taste Gyoza was disappointing, but the rest was very delicious and satisfying It seems to be run by a couple, and the auntie brought the food looking apologetic, saying "sorry for taking long" I was reading the Jump available in the store and was not in a hurry so I said
View on GoogleTown Chinese No.145" A Chinese restaurant visited by someone I follow. Kitanoda is a place I had a little connection with in my youth, and I got to help out for a few years with the five-town Danjiri union gathering around here. Due to station-front redevelopment, remnants of those days are fewer, but it's a shop operating quietly in a corner. Entered the shop as it opened from the evening. Run by an elderly couple who look nice. Ordered "Set B / Chop Suey, Omelet, Chashu" with large portion of rice. Appearing on a single plate. The menu includes curry rice, omurice, and chicken rice, giving off the scent of a set meal shop (teishoku-ya), so: ・Chop suey has somewhat less Chinese flavor ・Chashu is a bit hard, probably because it slept in the fridge for quite a while ・Omelet, Chinese-style omelets usually use Chinese soup so they are normally a bit fluffy and runny, but this one is also a bit hard. ・The set meal soup feels a bit sweet. ・The rice is delicious. However, this set meal is 720 yen, and a large serving of rice is also free. I originally don't like the word "cost performance". Don't live just by profit and loss calculations. I'm aware this isn't a line spoken by someone who likes delicious, cheap, and voluminous food, but when I put it into text, I hate it. If I prioritized true cost performance, I wouldn't be eating out. Digressing, this price for this content is honestly amazing. Seeing restaurants around the world turn into blinding name-changing chain stores is definitely not an interesting development, so I want independent shops to do their best. It's a shop continuing because it continues to be loved by locals. Mother, thank you.
View on GoogleJust like a Showa town Chinese restaurant that I used to go to as a child holding a few hundred yen ‼️ Exactly that. When I called 📱 to ask about business hours etc., I felt what an unfriendly vibe~ 😑, but when I went, although elderly, the aunt treated us kindly 😄. Seems like quite a lot of regulars. The ramen is a nostalgic chukasoba style, and the Tenshinhan uses my favorite shio sauce. The shrimp was also large and delicious 😋. Also, the yakisoba uses thick noodles, and with the seasoning I like, I was satisfied 🈵😆❗ Overall the prices are cheap, and I thought I'd go again ❗️
