Visited on a Sunday for lunch. Since there are only about 5 seats, it's best to call before visiting. Recommended is the original Ebisu-yaki, featuring firm noodles sandwiched inside. Cooking takes some time, so let's relax and wait while sipping on a beer or two. An okonomiyaki shop with a pure Showa-era vibe where you can go drinking just 0 minutes after getting off the tram. I hope they keep doing their best without overworking themselves. Just one question: where is the restroom, I wonder.

Entered the shop before noon with that unmistakable vibe that the food is bound to be delicious. Ordered the Ebisu-yaki Mix medium size, but it was basically a large size and left me stuffed (laughs). Takeout regulars and phone orders were coming in, making it super busy during the lunchtime rush. Chatting with the friendly master was also soothing ♬

2025 03 22 Sakai City, Sakai Ward, Osaka Prefecture Founded in 1953 (Showa 28) A precious long-standing shop in Sakai retaining the atmosphere of the Showa era A tiny shop tucked away right at Hankai Tramway's Hamanosho Station Famous "Ebisu-yaki" Ebisu-yaki made by sandwiching crispy fried yakisoba inside a thin batter It has a different feel from modanyaki Ultimate with beer! *Photos show pork Ebisu-yaki and squid-beef Ebisu-yaki *Commemorative store photo is of Mr. Terakado Jimon Parked at the coin parking lot in front of the FamilyMart near the shop (200 yen, probably the cheapest?)

Ebisuya", located right near Hamanosho Station The interior is just as it looks from the outside, cozy and compact There were only 5 seats, but surprisingly it didn't feel cramped at all I ordered the mixed-yaki, but after ordering I felt a slight regret that I should have ordered the Ebisu-yaki instead The okonomiyaki itself is served with mayonnaise and mustard, and this mustard had quite a kick to it—it was genuinely delicious I think it's a really great shop Thank you for the meal ♪

While taking photos of Hankai Line trains at the station, I smelled something great and went inside. An okonomiyaki shop directly connected to the station. Since I wanted okonomiyaki today, I ordered the pork-tama. It's old-school okonomiyaki with a nostalgic flavor. It was cooked to a crisp, and happily, instead of the mostly chopstick-only style of today, it was in the style where you eat with a small spatula. This is the authentic way to eat okonomiyaki! Next time, I am definitely eating the Ebisu-yaki.
