View on GoogleI went for a stylish dinner at "Kofun Cafe (Co.FUN Cafe)" located near Mikunigaoka Station in Sakai City, Osaka. Espuma course (2400 yen) with salad, bread, sweets, and drinks For the selectable pasta, I hesitated with Mentaiko, but chose Bolognese Matcha Pasta (+200 yen). It's topped with plenty of whipped cream, looking like a cloud. The pasta with plenty of Bolognese sauce is surrounded by matcha, creating the image of an ancient burial mound (kofun). Eating it mixed with egg yolk and parmesan cheese was the best. The selectable dessert included parfaits themed after kofun, and I tried the matcha pudding. It came with a kofun-shaped cookie and was very cute. Pouing matcha sauce over it was the absolute best. Set drinks can be chosen from highball, chuhai (lemon/lime/grape/matcha/calpis), red wine, white wine, blended coffee (HOT/ICE), black tea (HOT/ICE), orange juice/apple juice. (Beer is +200 yen) Japanese-style Sea Bream Sesame Sauce Donburi Course (2500 yen) with side dishes, sweets, and drinks A great value set featuring a kofun-themed bowl and sweets. The sea bream marinated in sesame sauce is ridiculously delicious. First eat it as is, then mix in the egg yolk, and for the finish, make it into broth-poured rice (dashi chazuke) to enjoy 3 flavor changes. The ice cream in the dessert kofun parfait is very rich, and the egg-packed ice cream is super delicious. The surrounding matcha sauce images the kofun's moat, showing great attention to detail. The rice dumplings (shiratama) were also chewy and very delicious. Inside the shop, kofun goods are also sold, and all of them are super cute. Kofun fans will be thrilled. Right in front of Mikunigaoka Station, access is very convenient. Please definitely go check it out.
View on Google30 seconds from Mikunigaoka Station, located near the Nintoku Emperor Tomb (Daisen Kofun), "Co.FUN Cafe" is an Italian/French café based on the concept of World Heritage With the theme of World Heritage, there are plenty of menu items that make you want to take photos, such as the kofun-mimicking "Kofun Roll Cake" and "White Bolognese"! Visited during dinner time this time. Red sea bream sesame sauce bowl is spread out on a plate shaped like Emperor Nintoku's tomb, with full visual impact 💯 Break the egg yolk, and finish with Uji matcha dashi broth as chazuke. The pasta is covered with magic foam (white espuma) and is flavored raw matcha pasta, with the umami of minced beef and aromatic vegetables, offering a chewy, addictive taste. Dinner course comes with matcha sweets & drinks, and the sweets are also kofun-themed, with the deliciousness of house-roasted coffee as well ◎ Outstanding access just a 30-second walk from Mikunigaoka Station, and having a parking lot is also a happy point. Dinner is completely reservation-only, and a la carte can also be ordered. The interior is equipped with semi-private rooms and an open terrace seating. Recommended for girls' nights out, after work, or in between sightseeing. Not just a café, they also sell house-roasted coffee beans, baked goods, and kofun goods, making them optimal for souvenirs.
View on GoogleWhat we got is right here 💁 🔸All-Things-Potato Parfait 🔸Kofun Ice Cream The limited-time All-Things-Potato Parfait is a parfait containing potato chips, potato cream, vanilla cream, and dumplings 😆 The sweet potato cream was delicious, and my favorite part was dipping the potato chips into the vanilla cream 😊 The kofun ice cream had the plate itself shaped like a kofun, and the appearance was super cute 👍 Vanilla ice cream, rice dumplings, and red bean paste together, eating them combined was delicious 🥣 Inside the shop there are various kofun goods, so just looking at them is fun ‼️ 🅿️ There are 2 parking spaces in front of the shop, so you can feel secure even by car ‼️
