Ordered menu items ・Kakiage Soba ¥1,300- ・Yamakake Soba ¥1,200- I'm the kind of person who starts craving soba when it gets hot. Wanting to eat delicious soba, and if possible in a special space away from the hustle and bustle to spend time leisurely—perfect for that is 'Soba-ya Ai', nestled quietly in the residential area of Oonodai, Osakasayama City. At first glance, it looks like a regular neat residence, but stepping inside reveals another world. A prestigious shop where you can enjoy carefully crafted 'Ju-wari Soba' (100% buckwheat noodles) made from darkly milled buckwheat flour directly sourced from farmers. This time I ordered the 'Kakiage Soba'. First, the soba. The chewy elasticity that makes it hard to believe there's no binding agent, the smooth throat-feel, and the aroma the moment it enters your mouth are attractive. As expected, enjoying the original overwhelming umami and aroma by eating it simply with just salt first is the best way to enjoy it, The kakiage of 'sakura shrimp and sweet potato' wrapped in a crispy batter came on a separate plate. The sweetness and fragrance accompanying this crispy texture go exceptionally well with the tsuyu and soba. The yamakake soba also looked delicious. This is a prestigious shop I want to visit again.

Had the tenzaru. The shop's atmosphere was very good. The soba is chewy 100% buckwheat soba. 1300 yen for tenzaru felt like good value for money given today's price senses!

Had the duck with 100% buckwheat soba, and dashi-maki tamagoyaki. Both were very delicious. There are also horigotatsu seats, so I think it's easy to use for people with bad legs, elderly people, and pregnant women. There is also a parking lot, making it easy to go by car.

Old folk house-style shop. You might drive past it if you're not paying close attention. The noren (fabric sign) is the landmark. There are only 2 parking spaces, so if they are empty, you have to go park somewhere else. Passing under the noren, opening the rattle-rattle slightly heavy sliding door brings you to the shoe storage area. Take off your shoes and wait to be guided. Inside is tables only. Doesn't hold many people either. Depending on the time, you might have to wait. Once guided, you take a seat. When going, wearing socks is definitely recommended. A handwritten-style menu is brought to you. Choose from the menu and wait. It takes a little time. What we ordered this time: dashi-maki, Aogamo duck tataki, ten-oroshi soba, conger eel tempura soba. Total 4 items. Taste was superb. Soba-yu is served at the end. After finishing drinking, settle the bill. Around 5000 yen for 2 people. For big eaters, setting a slightly higher budget is recommended. That's a simple introduction to the shop.

Ai Set 2500 yen Dashi-maki 700 yen Stone age-like interior. Every dish is full of the coarse feel of soba. Dashi-maki is fragrant and clean. Cake completion level is also good.
