This is the main store of the black bean sweets shop Zenshoan. It's located right outside the Imazato subway station exit, in the row closer to the station than Kent House. Although it's on a main street, the feeling of being slightly set back creates an otherworldly vibe. I bought assorted packs, one for home and one as a gift. The one for home was a set of year-round gourd-shaped monaka, warabimochi, and lattice rice crackers (koushi senbei). The gift was Kasane, which contains Japanese and Western sweets like black beans, sable, and sucre dough layered together. It's irresistible for black bean lovers. I also like that the mouthfeel is smooth. It can be used as a snack or as a greeting gift.
View on GoogleI always buy them at the Daimaru Umeda branch. It's a specialty shop for sweets made with black beans, featuring a very elegant sweetness and delicious taste, with a variety of textures. I often use them as omiyage (souvenirs) for older people, and they are always very happy. It's great that they are individually wrapped for a single serving, and being able to freely choose various combinations is a very helpful service because you can change it according to the recipient 🤭 The price of around 300 yen each is just right to buy and makes it easy to adjust the total amount, which is convenient w
View on GoogleI often buy them at Daimaru Umeda, but since I heard the main store is in Imazato, I went to buy them. There are products only available at the main store, and when it comes to black bean sweets, this is the place. The seasonal warabimochi and the Western-style financier are also delicious.
View on GoogleA middle-aged man of average build in this building frequently smokes on the street, litters his cigarette butt, and goes back into the building. It's pathetic that a grown adult can't even mind their manners.
