2025 11 19 Nishinari-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture Borga Rice (omurice topped with tonkatsu) 800 yen It's not curry; demi-glace sauce is poured over Crispy tonkatsu & demi-glace sauce Delicious! Extensive menu Many set meals available There is no parking lot Coin parking in front of the store
View on GoogleWent for lunch near the work site (^-^) Isn't the number of menus and set meals the No. 1 among diners? (laughs) Named after mahjong combinations, there are many attractive set meals that make you hesitate (^-^) What I ordered this time: Borga Rice 800 yen Large serving 150 yen Omurice topped with tonkatsu and demi-glace sauce, looks like Fukui Prefecture's soul food (^-^) It had a nostalgic taste and was delicious (^-^) The portion is normal, I guess Reasonable and the mother is kind! What should I eat next time. Thank you for the meal ✨

View on GoogleA diner overflowing with a Showa era feel near the Hanshin Expressway viaduct in Minamitsumori. Located in a rather deserted-looking area, lined with stores and eateries where it's hard to tell if they are even operating, but only this shop is clearly visible as open. Run by an elderly couple, I didn't expect much, but it truly was a hidden gem. The menu is insanely large, but I was drawn to an unfamiliar dish called Borga Rice and ordered it. A dish where tonkatsu is placed on top of omurice and demi-glace sauce is poured over it. It seems to be local gourmet food from Takefu, Fukui Prefecture. You can roughly guess the taste from omurice and tonkatsu, but actually it has an unexpectedly synergistic effect and is super delicious. I wonder if the generous demi-glace sauce is doing the work. Fried in lard, the tonkatsu itself also has an indescribable umami. It also comes with clear soup containing nyumen, which is comforting. The bill was 20円 higher than the price on the menu for some reason, but it's still totally cheap and exceeded my expected deliciousness, so well, that's fine lol
View on GoogleThe interior is small, but anyway there are tons of menus! The price is not cheap, but it didn't feel expensive either. The food is average? But it's a shop that makes you think you'll go again if you come nearby
