A prideful charcoal yakitori shop using fresh, domestically sourced morning-prepped chicken, with each skewer carefully grilled over binchotan charcoal ✨ Beyond yakitori, they have an abundant variety ranging from à la carte dishes to rice dishes, perfect for dining with family or friends, or grabbing a drink after work 🍻💕 The interior has a calm and cozy atmosphere, creating a space where you'll want to linger ☺️ First, starting with the yakitori 🐓❤️ The charcoal aroma whets your appetite, and with one bite, the savory umami of the chicken bursts forth 🥹✨ Grilling over binchotan leaves the outside fragrant and the inside fluffy and juicy ♡ You can tell each skewer is grilled with great care; every single skewer was delicious 🤍 With plenty of classic options like negima, skin, meatballs (tsukune), and gizzard, being able to compare and try various cuts is a great plus ✨ Aside from yakitori, their side dishes and finishing plates are extensive too, including Kyushu chicken tataki, karaage, seasoned chicken rice, and grilled onigiri 🍚💕 They also have a wide variety of drinks, making it lovely to enjoy a leisurely drink along with your skewers 🍺🍶 A perfect spot for days when you want to enjoy delicious yakitori without pretense or spend a fun, lively time with everyone ✨ Deeply satisfied with the warm atmosphere and delicious food that clearly show why it has been loved for so many years 🥹❤️

A very delicious yakitori restaurant. If you're having drinks near Chibune Station, I recommend Bancho.

Entered lured by the great smell. I only went because I was desperately craving yakitori, but the lack of hospitality was atrocious. Drinks took so long I worried they forgot them. Cost-performance is virtually non-existent, but perhaps thanks to the charcoal, the taste was decent. Charging nearly 600 yen for something that tastes like tofu, egg, and white dashi microwaved together was almost laughable. "Ryu no Namida" was a nice accent, but for the overall review, 1 star is plenty.

Poor cost performance. Even on weekdays with barely any customers, it takes way too long for food to come out. The staff spent the whole time chatting at the grill, making me anxious whether they were even grilling my food because it was so slow. However, you can smoke inside. As a smoker, that's the only reason I chose it. Update: Went back after a long time, and the customer service is still among the worst in the area. This is the only place in my life where I've had someone lean against the wall and take orders in an annoyed, lazy tone saying "Uh-huh, yeah, yeah." When food didn't arrive after ordering and I asked, they just went, "4 portions, right? Yep." No "sorry," no "welcome." Seriously, they ought to undergo customer service training. It's not cheap either; I can't find any merit other than being able to smoke.

I ordered: - Chicken tataki - Kappa cartilage - Chicken breast (sasami) with mentaiko - Salt-grilled chicken skirt (harami) The food tasted good, but portions were small and meager for the price, so I felt the cost performance was poor. Also, service was quite slow; it took about 15 minutes for a single dish to come out, making me wonder if it had been forgotten (and indeed, it seemed they forgot other customers' orders too), which was disappointing. Furthermore, when I walked in, I made direct eye contact with the staff, yet there was no "welcome" nor any guidance to a seat. Wondering if I could sit anywhere, I sat down at a nearby counter seat, but the staff member who noticed casually said in an annoyed tone, "Ah, [name], someone just sat down over at that seat," which gave a terrible impression. I usually don't mind staff chitchat and I work in food service myself so I understand the feeling, but having the person who appeared to be the manager constantly grumbling negative phrases like "exhausting," "what a pain," and "I'm tired" didn't make for a pleasant atmosphere. I had been curious about this place for a long time and finally got to visit, but considering the cost performance and service, I don't think I'll be back.
