The sweet-style ones are probably delicious, and savory-style French toast is something people either love or hate, or rather... Personally, it was a miss for me. - Somehow, a faint aroma of rum coming from the savory French toast - A vague, mysterious-tasting yellow dressing like the ones served at Indian curry shops - Potato and egg salad lacking in flavor and presence - French toast completely devoid of pepper flavor or saltiness The thickness and grilling of the French toast were good, but overall everything tasted so vague that I wondered what on earth I was eating, somehow getting through it thanks to the saltiness and flavor of the bacon. Such disappointment considering the price for this quality... There are plenty of items on the menu, but I don't recall seeing any Monte Cristo types. Also, before serving the food, frankly it's better to avoid pushing takeout products onto customers who don't even know the restaurant's food taste yet...
View on GoogleI went alone around 4 PM before watching a show at the Orix Theater. It's a bit hard to find, but you'll get there if you follow the signs. It feels like the shop is in a room on the first floor of an apartment building. Surprisingly many seats, but you can't really relax. The place was almost full, but I managed to get a counter seat. They have French toast and pancakes, and I ordered the crème brûlée-style pancake. I was told it would take some time, and since I still had time before the curtain rose, I agreed—but when the pancakes finally came out, it was past 5 PM! There were two people running the shop, and while they were working very briskly, I never expected to wait an hour! People who came in just before 5 PM got their orders right after my pancakes came out, so my timing for entering was just bad. The crème brûlée style was amazingly delicious at first, but by the third piece, my mouth felt way too sweet. Next time I go, I'll order the French toast. And I'll make sure not to overlap with the Orix Theater's show-ending time!
View on GoogleA cafe where you can eat French toast with various toppings. Served in a frying pan. 1 order per person policy. Close to the Orix Theater, making it perfect for a cafe break before or after a show.
View on GoogleFound this French toast shop on the way back from a nearby shrine. It looked delicious and caught my eye, so I went in with my child. Ordered the simplest French toast and the crème brûlée French toast. Both were fluffy, soft, and extremely delicious. It was a hearty portion so my child couldn't finish it...^^; The shop had a cute atmosphere, which was nice. The tables were a bit small. Celebrities' signatures lined the wall, so it seemed many people visit. Payment was cash only. I'd like to go back and try other menu items (*^^*)♪
View on GoogleSo many varieties that it makes you hesitate. I was told the pancakes would take about 30 minutes, but they came out rather quickly. Maybe because there were only two customers? Water is self-serve, but it seemed like it was leaking slightly from the nozzle? A cloth was placed there, and it felt like it was touching the spout, which I found unpleasant. I hesitated forever and finally ordered pancakes because I wanted bananas, but the bananas were way too ripe, which surprised me... Serving this to a customer is quite something, I thought. Did it say overripe? I wanted to eat fresh ones, so that was disappointing. The pancakes were delicious, but I felt they didn't match the price.
