We found this place on google and the reviews convinced us to try it. We enjoyed the delicious food, and the friendly hospitality of the couple who run the restaurant. The wife was very attentive. The meal sets were so delicious, affordable and had large portions. The menu had pictures, which was very helpful. Thanks for the delicious dinner! 😋

Combo set meal 950 yen Pork loin katsu, hamburger steak. Large rice. Weekday lunchtime. Almost full. They're rushing around and look busy. There are all kinds of menu combinations. The tonkatsu is good. Juicy, springy meat, crispy coating, pleasantly sweet demi-glace sauce. The hamburger steak is cheap stuff and seems store-bought.

Visited: April 2025  I'd been curious about it for a while and finally got to go. The old-fashioned atmosphere inside felt somehow nostalgic and put me at ease. The portions were big enough to fill up even a man, and I was very satisfied. The soup was a light soy sauce base with a somehow nostalgic flavor. The hamburger steak was tasty too. The menu is extensive, so (in a good way) I had a hard time deciding what to order. My impression is that it works for both lunch and dinner. I'd definitely like to come again!

Beef katsu and hamburger steak set, 1000 yen. Quite a generous portion and the taste was decent. I think it's a good place loved by the locals.

Lunch🍚 on my business trip on September 18, 2025! was a neighborhood Western-style diner (Tsuruya Shokudo)😝 As usual, I found it via Professor Google📲. Went in at 11:28; there were 2 groups (3 people) ahead of me and I got seated smoothly🤭 From the extensive menu I ordered the "fried shrimp🍤 and karaage🍗 set meal"‼️ After waiting just under 10 minutes, the tray arrived👀👀 and right then customers came streaming in and (whoa‼️) in no time it was full🈵. First a sip of the miso soup, then itadakimasu🍴 Crispy 🍤, crunchy juicy 🍗, potato salad, ketchup pasta, shredded cabbage, pickles — 900 yen for all this is a bargain⁉️ Next to me, regulars were digging into curry🍛 and ramen🍜. Maybe everyone's a regular — they glance at the menu but order fast❗ As for the all-important taste: "well, it was tasty." But personally I think I prefer "Mori" on the back street❤️
