A decidedly historic noodle spot in Kyomachibori. There's a set meal menu and a sample case in front of the shop. Since I couldn't decide right away, I went inside, looked at the menu, and decided on the Dashimaki Set Meal. The interior is larger than expected, and it seems there is a second floor as well. Entered around 11:30 AM with 3 groups of customers already inside. Food was served in about 3 minutes, so the dashimaki was likely pre-made. The dashimaki didn't feel particularly dashi-infused; it was more like a regular tamagoyaki. The Soba dashi was properly made and reasonably decent. The rice was perhaps a bit too moist. Overall, it felt neither particularly good nor bad. However, 800 yen in this day and age is greatly appreciated. The female staff member had good speed awareness and was very pleasant.
View on GoogleHad the Hamburg steak set meal. I thought it would come with Hamburg steak and udon, but Hamburg steak, udon, and rice all came out, which surprised me with the volume (lol). The udon dashi was delicious. A restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The staff are cheerful and lively, yet somehow relaxing. Prices are reasonable, so I'd like to go again. Some people have written reviews in the past getting furiously angry about the Hamburg steak, but I ate it normally, found it delicious, and finished it all (won't deny that it's frozen, though).
View on GoogleFirst visit to Tsunagi After agonizing intensely between fried horse mackerel and fried oysters, I went with the Fried Oyster Set Meal with warm soba. Since it comes with soba, the rice portion is on the smaller side. Just right for an old guy (*'▽'*) Nishin soba is listed at 700 yen, so that's a candidate for my next visit. ◾️ May 7, 2021 2nd Visit Nishin Soba and Onigiri I just love it— The savory aroma is irresistible 🙌 The table layout had changed due to COVID measures. Everyone is working hard 👍
View on GoogleMy work started at 12, so I looked around for a light lunch at a nearby shop. Ah, here. "Unagi"?! Unagi before work is a bit heavy. I wanted something light like soba. Hmm? Looking at the showcase... Ah, there is soba. And I enter the shop. "Would tempura soba take a while?" "No, it'll be right out." While having that exchange, You could hear the nice sizzling sound of tempura frying. "Thank you for waiting—" It really was immediate. And the name of the shop Wasn't "Unagi," but "Tsunagi." The tempura shrimp was a bit small, but Because of that, it fried up quickly and fast, Plus the price was good. I thought Tempura Soba for 750 yen was quite a bargain.
View on GoogleHad lunch! Hamburg steak set meal. Everyone, please try it at least once, the Hamburg steak is amazingly delicious 🤤 The retort-pouch-like ham-like Hamburg steak is the best! Soba comes with it too, but the soba is mushy with no texture and doesn't get stuck in your throat! I left most of it behind 😭 I wanted to eat it all, but better stop 🤪
