Located on the basement gourmet floor of Hankyu Department in Umeda, Taneya's cafe serves their famous Japanese sweets and desserts. Taneya has a history of over a hundred years of being a confectionary store and this popular cafe allows you to try some of their dishes inside. I recommend their classic anmitsu, mochi drizzled with extra virgin oil or their warm red bean soup with mochi. If you are lucky you will be able to see the mochi being made live!

Chanced upon this place and no regrets entering. Simple yet perfectly done anmitsu!
