Cheap Tourist Attraction Lacking Cultural Class and Ambience This experience was the only true disappointment we faced during our otherwise wonderful stay in Japan. Given the limited time a tourist has in Osaka, spending an evening here felt like a complete waste of time. We deeply regret not organizing our evening better, as this venue completely fails to deliver an authentic cultural experience. Overly Commercialized Lecture The session begins with a "crash course" presentation that dragged on for over 40 minutes. The information provided regarding sumo history, rules, and the ranking system is incredibly basic. It covers elementary details that any visitor could easily Google, ask an AI for, or watch in a five-minute YouTube video before arriving. Paying for a prolonged slideshow of readily available facts is highly disappointing. Dodgy Atmosphere and Forced Showmanship The overall environment felt distinctly dodgy and lacked any genuine class or traditional ambience. The entire format has been heavily Americanized, relying on cheap theatricality and expected, forced "wows" and cheers from the audience to generate excitement. Instead of showcasing the profound spiritual and physical dignity of a historic Japanese tradition, the event has been stripped of its solemnity and turned into a loud, superficial tourist trap. Respect for the Wrestlers The two stars in this review are given exclusively out of respect for the actual sumo wrestlers involved. We felt genuine sympathy for them, as it is a shame to see dedicated athletes exposed to a commercialized spectacle that is so entirely beneath their training, discipline, and what they have studied to do. They deserve a platform that honors their craft rather than reducing it to a cheap gimmick. We left prematurely. Verdict: While some tourists looking for superficial entertainment might enjoy the performance, we absolutely cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking authentic Japanese culture. Save your time and money for a genuine tournament or a traditional stable visit.

It was a lot of fun! We got to learn the history, the rules and best of all, play with the wrestlers. I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

Even if the location is kinda tiny and modest, the personnel was kind and genuine, the presenter was quite entertaining and so were the sumo. Great quick experience to get to know the sport and have a fun chance at fighting. I payed 66€ with booking, maybe it’s a little high but it is a thorough experience

Fantastic experience! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the activity was both fun and interesting. We even got the chance to participate in a sumo match ourselves! A unique and memorable experience that we highly recommend. Thank you to the whole team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What an awesome experience! First, we learned about sumo and its history. Then we met the two sumo wrestlers, Kai and Ryuu, who would be performing today. They demonstrated legal and illegal moves. They threw in a little comedy, which was so fun. Next, they invited the audience to participate. How funny was that! Last, everyone had an opportunity to have their picture taken with Kai and Ryuu. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to have fun while learning about sumo wrestling. It’s totally worth the money.
