Hands down one of the cutest little spots in Osaka! ✨ Amy, the owner and total creative genius behind this place, is warm, fun, and instantly makes you feel like a regular. The drinks and food were so good we immediately regretted not finding this gem sooner. Everything is made from scratch, and honestly… she can make anything. The sake was fantastic, and the ginger 🫚 soju was dangerously delicious, smooth enough to sip all on its own. This place is a must for locals, wanderers, and anyone who loves great vibes and even better drinks!
View on GoogleWe had an amazing time at The Source! Since the seats are right at the counter, we got to chat with the lovely couple who run the place. They gave us the perfect dining experience with delicious food made with so much love. The menu is small and changes daily, and they’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. I highly recommend visiting!
View on GoogleSource is an excellent modern izakaya. The owner is exceptionally welcoming and pleasant to talk to, which sets a great tone for the visit. The food menu is thoughtfully designed around seasonal ingredients with some unique twists, and the drink list is just as creative. I had the cardamom chu-hai and the unfiltered plum wine; both were fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality dishes and a relaxed atmosphere in Osaka.
View on GoogleHighly recommended! Food was super yummy and the owner/chef speaks English! English menu is available too! Definitely a good spot for foreigners who want to get a taste of izakaya without worrying about language barriers! Price is affordable too~ would love to come back again
View on GoogleAt Source we had the best experience, more than a restaurant or an izakaya. It is a place to communicate, to exchange culture, meet great people and above all eat good food. That was Source to us. The restaurant is owned by a warm-hearted couple, who develop their recipes based on experience and cultural influence. The owner is fluent in English, which makes it accessible for foreigners. Please pay them a visit, you won’t regret it!
