We stayed at a Airbnb nearby and came across this place while looking for a nearby restaurant that can take 3 adults and 2 toddlers. We were there around 6pm and it wasn't crowded. The grandpa owner was very welcoming, there wasn't English menu, thanks goodness with the help of Google translate and also a diner for helping us to explain what the owner was saying. Take note that most restaurants around this area accept cash only.

A traditional shokudo located in Konohana-ku, Osaka. The store has a Showa atmosphere (though I was born in the Heisei era lol), and the menu has all the shokudo staples like udon/soba, donburi, and fried foods. When I went, the shop was run by 1 elderly store owner, but his very good personality left an impression. Ordered katsu-ni set meal (800 yen). Standard set meal including udon or soba, quite reasonable. Taste wasn't noteworthy, but homey and gentle flavor. A precious shop where you can taste good old atmosphere, definitely want it to continue forever.
