We came by this restaurant looking for a place to eat around 8:30 pm on our last night in Osaka. At first, we were hesitant to go in as it looked quite local and we did not want to disturb as we don’t know Japanese, but when we finally entered, we were welcomed with open arms. We were extremely grateful to be with such kind people who did their best to explain the menu with their limited English and our limited Japanese. We had sushi, sashimi and some sort of an omelette with eel recommended by the chef. We also received recommendations on how to eat each piece. It was truly a treat! The presentation was also great but we ate the delicious food so quickly that we didn’t make great photos. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area, but prepare some simple Japanese words to help you order :) Many thanks from Dutch guests!

Felt quite frustrated when the owner initially refused to seat us even though we arrived just 15 minutes before last call. It took us almost an hour and three train transfers to get to the restaurant. Fortunately, one of their foreign staff members kindly helped explain our situation to the owner, so we were eventually allowed to dine. We only managed to order two dishes since most of the popular items were already sold out. It would be helpful if there were a notice on Google Maps about the actual last call time, as the business hours shown (until 10:00 p.m.) are misleading. In reality, it seems the restaurant closes closer to 8:30 p.m. — a disappointing oversight on the owner’s part.

This place is near my friend’s house. We randomly found it one night walking around. After entering, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly sushi-ya and multiple welcoming locals. The sushi quality and presentation is absolutely top notch. Pair that with the seemingly unending sake tasting options, and you have what I would call a perfect night. As long as your Japanese level is up to it, I can’t recommend this place enough!

A reservation-mandatory shop. A place where Japanese sake is cheap, with 20 varieties prepared at all times. The food is also delicious. About a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Harinakano Station. Be careful as reservations have strict rules. The fish is delicious, well, actually everything is cheap and delicious. It gets fully booked as soon as it opens at 14:00. Visiting with a reservation is strongly advised. Japanese sake features a great lineup of 20 varieties at all times, serving delicious sake from the Tohoku region.

Casually visited at 14:30 without a reservation to a super reservation-mandatory shop. As I casually walked past the storefront, to my surprise, 'Come on in, it's openー' Eh? Seriously?! It turned out to be my miraculous lucky first visit. ㊗️ Only one table was empty and the place became packed. The filefish liver sashimi thin-sliced was top-tier, the whale red meat ginger sashimi was way too good, and the sea bream roe was a heartwarming dish. Drinks naturally kept going 🍶 Takachiyo was a fruity, rare sake I drank for the first time. I'm not too familiar with it, but the nice lady next to me taught me. The staff were all friendly and comfortable, and next time I want to go with a proper reservation. Thank you very much. Reservations can be made by phone, and it seems the available reservation times are fixed, like opening at 14:00, then the next at 16:30.
