This was my second visit! The sandwiches here have fluffy bread, the seasoning overall is soft and on the sweet side, there are lots of varieties from savory deli sandwiches to fruit sandwiches, and they're seriously hefty!!! I think this much volume for this price is a great deal! Honestly, just one fills you up, so I recommend sharing with a few people and trying lots of different ones!

I'm someone who bought a used house and just moved to Abeno last year😚 During the renovation, the wallpaper craftsman who helped us out was a local Abeno resident. I asked him, tell me your recommended spots〜🙏 and one of the places he listed was this sandwich shop, Monogusa-san. Twice I tried to go while out on a walk, but for some reason every time, it was closed by just after 12. (Supposedly open until 13:00? Apparently they close early when they sell out.) The other Saturday, on my way back from shopping in Showacho, I stopped by without much hope. For once, it was still open after 12✌️😄 Oh! It's open〜 Well then, I'll buy some for brunch👍 …and when I asked what they recommended, the Monogusando is the most popular, but it had already sold out💦, they said. When I asked about the second most popular… Lots of people buy the egg sandwich♪ they said, so I went with that. I also picked a sandwich that was "market price"?! (with avocado, ham, etc. in it). When I got home and ate them, the egg sandwich was seriously, outstanding🥰 Delicious, delicious👌 Since it's an egg (tamago)… tamago-ta, no wait, tamageta (I was blown away)! (Sorry for the silly pun at my age🙇) The taste is really good, and the volume is pretty amazing too. Seems like the price went up a bit from before? 300 yen. The other "market price" one was 400 yen. (This one was a bit sweet… not really my preferred flavor, I guess. I like avocado, but if you're going to use avocado, I think a different, non-sweet seasoning would be better. Like adding slices of new onion or something. I kind of don't get the point of using avocado. It feels like a waste, sort of. But the volume is amazing.) The egg sandwich was definitely very, very delicious✨️ To the point I want to go around telling everyone😉 The service was good too; the girl at the counter and the man making them inside were friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. Next time, I'd really like to try the Monogusando that was sold out😘

Affordable prices with super satisfying portions!! Since they opened in mid-March 2024, I've gone to buy from them several times, and everything from the classic sandwiches to the fried ones is delicious. My recommendations are the egg sandwich, the teritama sandwich, and the not-soft katsu sandwich. They're also great taken home and lightly warmed in a toaster oven as a hot sandwich♩ It's run by a married couple, so it's homey and warm, with a very easy-to-buy atmosphere.

Heading south from #Matsumushi #Ojicho #HiradoHanten, at the corner of #SeimeiDori, I got a #hameggsandwich for 400 yen at #Monogusa, a takeout-only #sandwichshop It's really heavy Looks like it's packed with fillings I ate half as is and toasted the other half Delicious I'll go buy again The girl at the shop is cute too (^-^)。。。 #OsakaGourmet

The shop opened around mid-March, but I only noticed it recently, and since it's in my neighborhood, I walked over to buy some on Saturday 3/30 before 8 a.m. I went back and forth at the storefront deciding what to get, but the three I took home were the teritama sandwich, egg ham sandwich, and tuna sandwich. The teritama has sweetish teriyaki that goes nicely with the egg. The egg ham and tuna sandwiches are just what their names say, but they're well filled and carefully made. I shared all three with my wife, and we liked them all and enjoyed them. My sandwich photos were completely out of focus, so I haven't posted them. Sorry about that. The shop seems to be open from 6 a.m. to 14:00, and they said they'd like to expand their repertoire going forward. Next time I want to buy the katsu sandwich and others. Revisited in the second half of Golden Week. Bought 4 items including the katsu sandwich I'd been wanting and a hot dog. Everything was hefty, and our family of 4 enjoyed them.
