i was very much underwhelmed by the artistic value of the works on display

After leaving the gallery, I strolled the 2.6 km shopping street, the longest in Japan, which runs from Tenjinbashi to Tenjinbashisuji 7-chome. Overwhelming! Worth a leisurely stroll!

While wandering the Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, a poster for a photo exhibition by Itazaki-san of THE ALFEE caught my eye in front of a photo shop. It was during the exhibition period, so I went. Besides being a musician, there were many works brimming with photographic sensibility. The works shot with his beloved Leica camera were rendered so beautifully that some could be mistaken for paintings. In an age when you can easily take photos with a smartphone, I was captivated by the depth of the film camera world, where you don't know what you've got until it's developed.

About a 5-minute walk from Minamimorimachi Station on the subway and JR Osakatenmangu Station, it's a nice size, and I think it's a good gallery. Railway photo exhibitions are held about 3 times a year.
