It's one of my favorite lunch spots in kitakagaya. I always leave feeling full, warm, and happy in my body and mind :-)

Unwelcoming to first-timers. A place only regulars go to. I had the set meal, but the portion and taste were both average. It seems you can get rice refills. The landlady is constantly talking with the regulars, making it uncomfortable for newcomers.

I always have lunch here. The menu changes daily so I never get tired of it. An elegant landlady runs the place efficiently all by herself. Since it's counter seating only and there are usually a few local regulars, it's often full. You can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice, and refills are available. It's always delicious and fills me up.

There was a bit of an odor when I entered, but it was masked by the smell of food. This is a counter-seating restaurant. I'd be happy if coffee came as a set!
