Best tantanmen I have ever eaten. Lovely flavor of toasted cashews added extra depth to the already richly complex broth. Amazing food all around.

【ファンファン in 東三国。】 Visited in 2025年8月 Entered around 20時30分. About 3 tenths full. Unlike the 新大阪 restaurant, this one is smaller, with around 20 seats. A pleasant male staff member welcomed us. We were shown to a semi-private-style seating area at the back. Then, straight to cheers! Here is what the 4 of us ordered. 【Food】 〇Cold hanasaki jellyfish～with mustard soy sauce～ 1580円 ・Zha cai 600円 ・Salt-fried water spinach 1400円 ・Spring rolls with dried scallop(2 rolls) 600円×2 〇Signature Sichuan Chen mapo tofu 1300円 〇Light snow crab and lettuce fried rice 1600円 【Drinks】 ・大隅 sweet potato shochu with soda 650円 ・六ジン with soda 900円 ・角 highball 600円 ------------------------------ The fine crunchy texture of the hanasaki jellyfish was perfect as an appetizer. The signature Sichuan Chen mapo tofu comes in an iron pot, just like at the 新大阪 restaurant. It seemed to taste a little different from 新大阪, but it was delicious mapo tofu with just the right numbing heat. The light snow crab and lettuce fried rice, with nicely separated grains, was delicious too. ファンファン in 東三国 is also a tasty Chinese restaurant with casual prices. Thank you for the meal.
