Lovely atmosphere with early Showa decorations that feel like they were chosen and arranged by Edgar Allen Poe.

I found a café I love‼️💗 Both the shop's atmosphere and the owner's vibe were really nice and comfortable🫶🏻 I ordered cheese toast and a cream soda (red), and they were super delicious💗 The cheese toast was sweet and salty, and the cream soda had a goldfish made of kohakuto on top of the ice cream, so cute💖 I thought I'd love to go again💕💕

The unique, otherworldly space is irresistible. There are all sorts of things on display, but it's different from your typical cluttered bar. Partly because I came right at opening, it was very quiet, and the calm atmosphere was comfortable. Zoning out while watching the goldfish is the best. I chose the blue cream soda. So pretty〜

A calming, otherworldly space—a retro café plus something extra. The cream soda is guaranteed to be photogenic🐠 It's a popular shop, but it happened to be raining so customers stopped coming, and partway through I basically had the place to myself, so luckily I could take tons of photos (with the owner's permission)📸 Apparently the owner loves collecting antiques, and the hobby grew into this café with its unique space. The story behind the shop's name, Kingyo (goldfish), was interesting too! The owner is friendly with a great vibe, so do try enjoying a chat (he runs the shop alone, so please avoid it when he's busy). Past the park midway along a straight road, at the very end is Kingyo-san… this setting was nostalgic and lovely too.

A goldfish café in Abeno-ku☕️ From the name, I thought it'd be a cute, stylish café, but you can't see inside from outside, so I went in nervously. And inside was a mysterious world🌍 The moment you step in, there's an eerie feeling. Go a little past the counter, and on the right is a tatami area. A large doll sits enthroned here. On the opposite wall are clippings of various past incidents. In the back there are human specimens, mystery novels, and rows of Edogawa Ranpo books. There were 2 goldfish in a tank. When I ordered a coffee float, the glass was a goldfish bowl, with a goldfish jelly on top of the ice cream🍨. The coffee☕︎ was delicious, of course, but I was swallowed up by the atmosphere. A pretty fascinating place—recommended! Thank you for the treat!
