So delicious!🥰✨😍😋😋 Seems to have a strong fan base♪ A young mom runs it all by herself, and she said she loves North India🇮🇳 but also South India🇮🇳🥰✨ I wonder if she learned to cook from local mothers and adapted it to Japanese tastes? Thank you for the meal♪ It was delightful♪
View on GoogleTenma, Ame to Neko✨ A curry restaurant sharing a space between Tenma and Tenroku. Its signature is the cute cat-paw arrangement. A follower's post caught my attention, and I visited on their last business day of the year😊 They seem to use premises that operate as a snack bar at night. I ordered ・3-curry combination (1300円) ・Spiced egg (100円) ・Spice-fried rapeseed blossoms (100円) ・Highball (700円) ※Tax included ✨ Here's the review❗️ Apparently, the cat-paw arrangement mentioned above is only possible with the 3-curry option, so I chose 3 without hesitation. The curries seem to change depending on the day you visit. This time they were ・Chicken kofuku (meatball curry) ・Pork pindaloo ・Dal curry These were the 3 varieties. The sides were ・Dried fish torkari ・Daikon and cucumber achar ・Pickled red onion served alongside. ⚫︎Chicken kofuku The meatballs contain cartilage, giving them a crunchy texture. Coconut-milk-based, mellow yet spicy. ⚫︎Pork pindaloo A curry with a vibrant, rich aroma. Plenty of pork too, and my favorite flavor this time. ⚫︎Dal curry A curry of small pulses with a coriander aroma. This one also has a spicy kick that comes afterward. Many of the sides were spiced too. The pickled red onion was strongly tart and refreshing, and the dried fish torkari had a nice fish flavor that added an accent when mixed with the curries😊 The extra spiced egg was almost like an ordinary soft-boiled egg and mellowed the curries' heat. The spice-fried rapeseed blossoms tasted like they were sautéed in butter. The extra items seemed lightly spiced. Each curry was well-executed and delicious on its own. However, mixing several curries and sides created an even deeper flavor, which surprised me❗️ I've visited various curry places, and I think this is very high-level spice curry. Curry lovers should definitely visit. Recommended✨
View on GoogleVisited at lunchtime on Sunday. Arrived just after opening at 11:30, with no other customers there. They had an anniversary event coming up the following week, so I thought this week might be quiet and came to check it out. Seems I was right. I could enjoy my meal leisurely and chat a little with the owner, which was lovely. Ordered the 3-kind special (chicken kofta, Kerala chicken, dal), lotus root and mushroom sabzi, and a bottle of Heartland beer. While waiting and drinking the beer served first, the curries and sabzi arrived. A plate shaped like a cat's paw (the paw plate is only for the 3-kind option). I'd seen it on Instagram and Google Maps, but it's cute. I've always thought presentation matters for food, and I think this approach works too. Now, how about the all-important curry? First, a bite of Kerala chicken. I was blown away. Incredibly delicious. The balance of savoriness and heat was excellent too. Wow, I love this. Next, the chicken kofta. This was incredibly delicious too. Looks like I've discovered an amazing curry restaurant. Then the dal. A slightly spicy dal. Delicious too. Tried the lotus root and mushroom sabzi with Kerala chicken poured over it. Yep, a winner. Adding the sabzi as a topping was absolutely the right choice. Oh no. I'm confident I'll get hooked on this place lol As usual, I enjoyed mixing different combinations. Every combination was fun and delicious. Finally, mixed everything together and finished it all. Incredibly delicious😋 Thank you for the meal🙏 I'll visit again.
View on GoogleLocated along Tenjinbashisuji (the main road) around Tengo. It's on the 3rd floor, up steep stairs with no elevator. The interior is clearly set up as a BAR. There are sofa seats as well as a counter, so it seems fairly versatile, but the space is relatively small. Had the 3-curry option for 1300円. The rice is basmati. It's served on a cute cat-paw-shaped plate. The different levels of spice and flavors are clearly enjoyable and delicious. However, 2 of the 3 were quite watery, so I might have liked a little more contrast. This is a fiercely competitive curry area, dotted with popular spice curry and European-style curry restaurants. It's become even livelier now♪
View on GoogleAnother new restaurant has opened in Tenroku, a fiercely competitive curry area. When I asked, “Why cats and rain?”, she said it's because she's a woman who brings rain. It's on the third floor, so you have to climb the stairs, but the curry is delicious.
