I went to "Jagashiya," a dagashi theme park operated by Jankara in Umeda. I was curious because it's a popular shop known for "tsumehodai" (all-you-can-stuff) where you can pack bags full of nostalgic dagashi. You can choose all-you-can-stuff from 3 sizes: small size 500 yen, medium size 800 yen, and large size 1,200 yen, so you can enjoy it according to your purpose, such as matching your appetite or for souvenirs. Since all products in the store can also be purchased for 50 yen per piece, it's attractive even for those who want to "buy just a little" or "choose only the snacks they are curious about." Inside the store, a wide variety ranging from classic dagashi to nostalgic snacks are lined up, all making you instinctively reach out and think, "This is nostalgic!" The time spent thinking about which snacks to pack into the bag was also fun, and I got engrossed in stuffing them. There is also a sense of accomplishment when the bag is completely filled, and even adults can return to their childhood and enjoy it. Not just dagashi, festival-like games such as toy lotteries, card lotteries, and super ball scooping are also prepared, meaning it doesn't just end with shopping. It's a spot where not just children, but also adults can get excited together. Accessible easily from Umeda Station and you can drop by casually, so it's also recommended in between shopping or dining. If you want to experience a nostalgic mood or are looking for a slightly unusual play spot in Umeda, please be sure to visit.
