They sell vegetables at the shopfront, but in the back they also serve set meals. (Japanese food)

I came for lunch. I had the Hiyashi Hosai-men (1,200 yen). The vegetables are homegrown so they were fresh. The noodles were flat, the onions crisp, the cherry tomatoes sweet, and it was just packed with vegetables. No matter how much I ate, it didn't seem to go down. It was hearty, but with so many vegetables it was healthy. I got really full.

The vegetables are fresh and cheap! The stuff-a-bag onions for 150 yen are great (on rainy days it becomes a glitched price of 100 yen The owner said it's only possible because he has his own fields The guy running the shop was like a good-natured uncle, with nice service If I get the chance I'd like to try the meals and bento too

The karaage is very delicious. Plus, they start frying it right away. The outer skin is very crispy, and the chicken is very tender and smooth. The vegetables come straight from the farm. Very fresh. The miso soup has mushrooms among its ingredients.

I accidentally got off one station early, and on the way I saw a shop with a rustic storefront and no sign, yet people were eating lunch in the back, so I went in Torn between buying vegetables as "thanks" for letting me take photos and just wanting to go in, I ended up eating in with a set meal It felt like lunchtime for everyone from young folks in the neighborhood to people who are pretty busy working There's a 2nd floor too (I didn't dare go up, so maybe next time if they show me up there Seemed to have a decent capacity From today's fish I chose salted salmon By the way, is this "shiozake" or "shiojake"… I go with the latter, and apparently it's colloquial The rice was delicious, and the vegetables from the field were tempting too Definitely next time The owner? was in the front store, and when I honestly told them I took photos because the shop was so rustic, they seemed a little pleased In reality it was closer to being forgiven It's a pretty cool shop The location is near Osaka Municipal Central Library in Nishi-Nagahori The shop name is apparently 宝堂さん I asked the owner The food was light Seems good for your body Cash only, and it seems smoking is allowed on the 2nd floor too

I knew there was a greengrocer next to KOHYO in Nishi-Nagahori, but when I happened to walk past, there was a menu out front. Wait, they do eat-in too? Once I found that out, I went right in. The menu is very standard diner fare, but of course, this is a place run by a greengrocer. I ordered "Pork belly and field vegetables: \950 (tax incl.)". The interior is a calm Japanese style. Posters, menus and other things on the walls are kept to a minimum, so it's neat and tidy. The food is served in a jubako box with rice, miso soup, and katsuo soy sauce. Open the lid and there's a vivid green world! A(^^; The salad is crisp fresh vegetables, and the main is freshly steamed vegetables + pork belly eaten with katsuo soy sauce... and the shop's choice of katsuo soy sauce is spot on. The saltiness of the soy sauce and the umami of the katsuo bring out the subtle natural sweetness of the ingredients, making it simple yet super delicious. The steamed vegetables come in a wide variety too: broccoli, eggplant, tomato, etc. It's been a while since I got to enjoy so many vegetables, very satisfying. According to Google, the karaage is also tasty, so I'd like to drop by again m(_ _)m
