Actually, until very recently, I didn't know they were open... I happened to notice the hot pot menu on the signboard outside and decided to drop in. Inside the restaurant, it has the atmosphere of an old-fashioned drinking establishment, but anyway, menus are pasted all over the walls! Dishes, snacks, and sake are posted in a jumble, so honestly, it takes a long time just to place the first order. I hurriedly asked for: ・Stamina Nabe + Udon for shime ・Draft beer (medium) Stamina Nabe is a dish of 2-3mm thick pork loin, green onions, and onions simmered in a sweet and spicy soy sauce-based broth. Anyway, the meat alone is quite voluminous. As time went on, I thought the water would evaporate and the taste would become strong, but the refreshing sweet and spicy taste from the beginning is maintained all the time. Anyway, including the udon for shime, I was full with this. Feeling like I hadn't drunk enough, I added Kurokirishima (with hot water) and a creative single dish called "Spaki" (Spam and kimchi). The hot water-diluted shochu came in a thick cup like a sushi restaurant's teacup, and it was quite strong. Spaki... it tasted just like I imagined A(^^;), but I guess it was just right as a snack for alcohol. Perhaps, if you choose shochu, food, and snacks well from the beginning, I think it's a restaurant with quite good cospa. However... please organize the menu that is too cluttered first!
View on GoogleRight by the south exit of Kyobashi Station, in a corner of a bustling street, "Izakaya Marumouke" is a long-established restaurant that strongly retains the vestiges of the Showa era. Among the Kyobashi area, which has many relatively retro shops, it is truly a "long-selling prestigious shop" that has been loved by local regulars for many years. This restaurant is run by a mother and her son. The warmth and sense of distance unique to parent and child are comforting, and there is an atmosphere that allows even first-time visitors to relax naturally. The clientele is centered around long-time regulars, but there is no difficulty in entering at all, making it ideal for drinking alone or having a quick drink on the way home from work. What should be noted is its pricing. Even in these days of successive price hikes, from beer and highballs to food, it is very reasonable. Voluminous snacks and popular items like curry ramen are all offered at wallet-friendly prices. You can't help but worry, "Are you really making a profit at this price?", but contrary to its name "Marumouke" (pure profit), the attitude of being too kind to customers conversely creates a sense of trust. All the dishes have an unpretentious, home-style taste, and especially the curry ramen and seared duck loin are favorites that bring people back for more. Beyond the taste, above all, there is an "atmosphere that makes you want to come back home" here.
