Cozy place, nice service.

I heard there was a delicious motsunabe place over in Nishinakajima-Minamigata, so I went right away last night🧎 The place is Hakata Motsunabe "Yoshi", about a 5-minute walk from Nishinakajima-Minamigata on the Midosuji Line, a little way into an alley. Inside it's fairly dark and quite cramped, which may be why the tables are like 4-seat tables divided down the middle. Looking at the menu right away, first, everything looks delicious lol, and it's easy to read! (with photos) Hmm, when I asked what they recommend, they said about half the customers order the soy sauce motsunabe, so I picked 2 servings of soy sauce motsunabe, a basashi platter, changja cream cheese, and goma aji👍✨ As for drinks, oh, Kaku, and they even have Mega Kaku😙✨ Alright, let's have it! The Mega Kaku comes in a big mug with lemon!🍋 Thinking "Yep, a Kaku highball needs lemon〜" I chugged it down😆 Puhaa〜 so good lol Soon the basashi and goma aji arrived, so I chugged my Kaku highball with the sashimi as a snack! The basashi is fresh and tasty!, and the goma aji has a perfect mix of sesame and aji, I could just wolf it down! I even cleaned up the sesame left on the plate as a drinking snack😊 Then the long-awaited motsunabe🍲 arrived〜 Loaded with ingredients and looking delicious, I've got a feeling this is a great motsunabe〜👍 By the way, they said the recommended toppings are the assorted horumon and onion, so I added onion and waited for it to simmer while picking at the basashi and changja😆 By this point I was already on my 3rd Mega Kaku highball✨ The snacks were tastier than expected, so I went into drink-drink mode✨🥃 Now that it was bubbling away, I served myself🙇 Sprinkle ichimi on the cabbage and motsu, take a bite, and it's super (ﾟдﾟ)ｳﾏｰ♥ This is great! The horumon is plump and bouncy♥ The soup seasoning is not too strong, not too weak, just right! It goes down so easily that I added cabbage, burdock and tofu to the emptying pot and ate it〜 (ﾟдﾟ)ｳﾏｰ again🥃👍 Then I switched from Kaku highball to barley soda and chugged it, and maybe it was a bonus, but "Wow, this is super strong!👍" As expected lol🥂 I was getting pretty full but was thinking of adding something to finish, and the "special champon" really caught my eye, so I ordered just one serving and waited〜 It looked super delicious! Served it up right away and slurped〜 super (ﾟдﾟ)ｳﾏｰ♥✨ The medium-thick champon noodles soaked up the motsunabe soup and turned out perfect!! Finished it in no time😙✨✌ The inside might feel a bit cramped, but more than that, the menu is easy to read, there's a wide variety of alcohol, the motsunabe was delicious and the snacks were delicious too! The service🥃 was GOOD too👍✨ I mean, I've discovered a super super recommended motsunabe place aaaaah⬆ Next time I'm curious about the red spicy miso motsunabe too, so I'd like to go again〜✌ Thanks for the feast〜✌

A motsunabe specialty restaurant with a very local feel. There were no seats so we were about to leave, but luckily someone was coming out, so we got in. The motsunabe was really delicious, and it was nice that there were lots of other dishes to have as drinking snacks. The drinks list was long too hehe. All the staff were kind, so we had a really satisfying meal.

I'm today's Taiwanese guest. It was my first time eating beef motsunabe, but it was really delicious and rich. The ingredients were fresh too. Thank you also for Sakamoto-san's service. Very kind. I'd like to come again. Thank you for the meal!
