Terrible food, terrible service. We went in at lunch time when only 2 tables were occupied, so it wasn't busy at all as an excuse for such terrible service. Yet, they made multiple mistakes even when its not crowded. 1. I was served a half opened bottle of ginger ale, which the waiter only realised after setting it on the table. 2. My "overflowing" salmon sashimi was overflowing with embellishments instead of salmon. Not only did it not look like the picture, the salmon colour did not look and taste fresh. 3. They served us the wrong kushikatsu. We received a red ginger one instead of a potato skewer. They quickly replaced it after we pointed it out. 4. My "oyster" skewer was filled with cheese instead. When I asked the staff what was I eating, he went back to the counter to check our order list instead of bringing it to the chef to confirm. He then told us it was the oyster skewer when there is clearly no oyster in my skewer. Even so, there was no effort made from the waiter to correct or replace the skewer and I was too frustrated at this point to ask for a replacement. 5. When we went up to pay, they did not even go through the items we ordered and just showed us the final bill, which was ALSO wrong because it was 5000 yen higher than we calculated. We then found out that they keyed in another table's order into ours without checking. We had to ask for an itemised bill to make sure before we paid. 6. It was advertised that there will be free edamame if you ordered through the QR code but we didn't receive anything. It seems there is a reason why this shop remains mostly empty at noon when the shop beside is booming with business. The only acceptable things were the grilled squid (which we had to cut ourselves with scissors and no tongs??) and grilled oyster, which were pretty tasty.

It's not nearly as bad as everyone says, but also nowhere nearly as good. I'd describe it as the way pub food's not always restaurant quality. We ordered the salmon bowl which is decent for its price, but you can probably eat better food for the same price elsewhere. It's in a very popular district, so you pay the price for convenience. The staff is friendly and the food came fast. I can see, however, how it's a great spot for drinking and eating on the side, it got that joyful vibe.

Came here on a really busy day after walking around the Shinsekai district. Pretty chaotic but really fun with the tables made out of beer crates and crazy signs everywhere. We made a silly mistake and ordered the noodles instead of what everyone lese was having. The tempura and other fried skewers were clearly the best choice and the noodles were really not good sadly but a reminder to order what the locals do. Smashed down some delicious Suntory beers at a ridiculous AUD$3 each. Staff were very friendly despite not speaking any English, our limited Japanese got us through and the QR code ordering was very useful.
