I was a bit curious, so I went. They sell bento, side dishes, bottled tea, and so on. It's self-service, buffet style. There are containers in several sizes, so you put the amount you want into whichever size you like, it's weighed at checkout, and you pay for just that much. (However, for the daily bento, you choose one main dish from several options to put in.) I bought a bento, 2 side dishes, and 2 rice balls. The seasoning is slightly on the strong side. Not too bland or too salty — just right (things like koya tofu felt a bit sweet). It seems you can choose a bento with or without rice. Also, when I went, a staff member put the bento dishes in for me. Most side dishes are basically in the 200-yen range per 100g (with some exceptions, like the demi-glace hamburger steak, it seems). It's healthy, so I recommend it for people who want side dishes for dinner, or who want a health-conscious bento. As of November 2025, they also sell oden, doria, omelets, and more (depending on the day, doria, omelets, etc. may not be available.)
View on GoogleThe side dishes here are way too delicious, whatever you eat! What sets them apart from department-store basement side dishes is that they focus on everyday dishes, but you can feel the heart of the people who make them. I also sense care about salt content. If someone living alone ate the side dishes here every day, they'd surely never get tired of them, and would probably get hooked instead. The seasonal dishes are excellent too.
View on GoogleEverything is delicious! I had the impression that prepared side dishes inevitably drop in quality, but here you can have meals that are genuinely tasty and nutritious, so it's a huge help for our dual-income household. Also, Japanese food is hard to make, so being able to casually enjoy delicious Japanese food is much appreciated✨✨
View on GoogleI'd been curious for a long time and went for the first time. The exterior is a bit worn, but the inside was kept very clean. Customers came and went constantly, and my first impression was that it's a shop loved by locals. Every dish looked so delicious that I ended up taking too much!! lol We took it home and shared it with everyone, and I was surprised at how delicious everything was. The main stewed hamburger steak and the sansho karaage were especially outstanding. The stewed hamburger steak was very hearty, and the sauce was well seasoned, perfect with rice. The karaage had a subtle sansho flavor in the aftertaste and was very delicious. The dashimaki tamago was very big and cheap, great value. It made for a happy dinner table where you could feel the warmth of handmade food. Thank you😊 Eating out with kids had become a hassle for me, so I'm glad I discovered such a wonderful shop✨ There were lots of other dishes I'm curious about, so I'd like to go again.
View on GoogleI went to eat a delicious bento for the first time in 2 years. The grilled fish had gotten a lot more expensive. I bought side dishes and salad and went home.
