I have been to gram before, in Okinawa, and I enjoyed the food there. It seems the menu in Oki was smaller. I ordered a BLT sandwich here, and it was delicious. My lady ordered French toast and she said it was some of the best French toast she had. The employees were so kind, and the price is reasonable. The aesthetic is simplistic and calming, relaxing, and bright. Gram is certainly a place I would return to for their food. This place was busy, so I cannot fault them for what they did, but it did affect the experience: we had ordered tea, which never came; we had ordered almost ten minutes before two other customers arrived, and they got their food much sooner than us; and we had ordered premium smile pancakes, and they seemed to had forgotten about it. Many others got theirs, and I got my regular premium, but they had just started making these. We canceled on it and just paid then left. Still, it is a place to check out, the environment is great, and the employees were wonderful.

Their premium pancake is a must try dish, it is very fluffy! Went there around 11am on Saturday, queue for awhile before able to get it. If you really want to try their pancake, remember to go earlier, as they have limited set of pancakes for each session. Would i go again? Yes. Would i recommend to others? Yes.

I was able to go here when it wasn't busy. My friends have been to Japan twice and were never able to get there before the premium pancakes were sold out. They only served a limited number of premium pancakes within a certain time frame. So if you want to try them, get there early and ask for a wood disk with a number on it, to guarantee you get an order of the premium pancakes (see my pictures for what the disk looks like and their flyer on the times they serve the premium pancakes). I had the teramasu pancake and split the premium pancakes with my friend. Coming from the States, the pancakes were not as sweet and flavorful as I'm use to. They were super fluffy and still tasted good, but nothing that I would wait in a long line for. I personally liked the teramasu one better than the primium. It's definitely a place to check out because their pancakes are so different. Please note they do NOT accept credit cards. Cash only.

The pancakes were fluffy and the flavours were interesting. We were told to wait 30 min for our pancakes but we got them in 20 min. Do take note that we went at an off peak timing before the lunch crowd started. Also, I think it's more hyped up. I wouldn't queue for it.

Super light fluffy pancakes seem to be a trend in Japan at the moment that comes out of Osaka-shi, a trend that has led to fast expansion for Gram Cafe & Pancakes and event their first international store in San Fransisco. The trouble is, the lines are super long. If you detest lines and still wanna try it, Gram in the Amerika-mura side of town is the way to go, since most go to the one in the Shinsaibashi arcade a few blocks away. At opening time, when this place was 100% empty, its competition at A Happy Pancake two stores down had a queue that took up all their stairway. The pancakes taste great and they're as light as the wobbleyness suggests - but be warned they only serve up limited numbers of the super light fluffy premium ones in each sitting. Pictured are the plainish premium choice, and then the "Smile" premium topped with fruit, cream in the middle, and onsen egg in the middle (with the sugary cream mixed into this, it makes a lot of sense). Have pancakes, smile more.
